Like many others have posted, our reprinted season cards arrived back end of last week and automatically assumed would be ok for tonight as I was told paper ticket would only be issued if the SC reprints weren't done in time.
However, 2 paper tickets have just arrived in the post now. WTF. Lucky I'm still at home because I would have been totally pissed off if I got to the ground and couldn't get in again with the SC and have to piss about getting it sorted.
No doubt there will be a load get caught out with this later thinking the SC will work and haven't seen the last minute paper ticket.
In the email they sent out to all the people who's seasoncard needed to be reprinted, it specifically stated that that exact scenario may happen and everybody should use the paper ticket provided whether they've received their new seasoncard yet or not. If people get caught out it's through their own stupidity and nothing else.
This doesn't really relate to the topic too much other than its about season cards, but I don't have sufficient posting privileges for its own topic.
How receptive are City fans to a "new" fan?
Like I'm not from Manchester but I live very close to the Etihad. I've been for a few games (mainly European ones) over the past few years and I'm at the CFA most weekends watching the EDS.
City have firmly become a second team for me.
With that in mind, I'm being sorely tempted by this £299 season card. Nice ground, great players, and unlike my main team, you actually f**king win sometimes.**
All things considered though, is it a piss take for someone like me to get one? I'd hate to take the place a "proper" fan could, but at the same time it's been like a week or so of them being on sale. Ample time for Joe Superfan to get one?
Mine was the same, had to use the paper ticket even though supporter services had said my card was activated. Lets see if it works on Saturday!Did anyone's new card not work last night? It may have been because i also had a paper ticket....

Season card works fine for PL. SS Level 1 Block 114 and enter through the vastly under used space of M2. Text received Tuesday confirming normal seat but to use Entrance L1. Get to the ground to find L1 is for away fans. Raised with a 'blue bibber' who said try K2 - politely told him that that was on the other side of the away fans. Told to try L2, L3, M1 and M2. Basically was just fobbed off from person to person. Had a rant and was eventually let in by somebody on the inside letting us in after showing him the text that was received from City. Then had to do the same again to get though another door to get through the right level. Still had to turf a couple of teens from our seats as they couldn't read where they were supposed to be. Same again after half time.
Can't wait for the next CL/cup game to play "How the fuck do I get in".
I've still not had my reprinted season card or a paper ticket for West Ham, anybody else in the same boat?.
