Spot on. Given where she found herself, she's used that as a force for good. Let's not forget that it is her that has shaped the active role she plays, as monarchs were much less involved in public life before she came to the throne.
That may have been partly as a form of self-preservation, but it was also forged out of a sense of duty and doing something worthwhile with the hand she had been dealt.
As I have said before, a remarkable woman.
