The question on everyone’s lips for you Early Leavers

Our early leavers are probably the best in the business - completely dedicated to the cause. In the past they’ve not let the signing of superstars, title battles or critical late winners and equalisers get in the way of their battle with the traffic, so no way are they going to let a little rule change change their match day rituals.
We could have a whole new set of songs:

"Best early leavers in the land and all the world"

"Half empty at the final whistle, you'll never sing that"

"Whoah oh, we're the boys in blue
Whoah oh, leaving well before you.
North Stand, East Stand, South Stand,
On our way to cars & trams"

"Blue moon, you saw me standing alone,
Because everyone had fucked off home
While there were 15 minutes to go"

I think I might just do 90 minutes now before walking out. But that means I will see 45+5 1st half and then 45 2nd half.

My question is what time will those who cannot watch a match without the need to drink alcohol, feel they need to leave their seat during the 1st half? Do you think they could see until 40 minutes compared to the current 35 minutes? Probably not!

Even with 10 minutes added in the 2nd half, they'll still support their team for 5 minutes less than little old early leaver me!

nah, wasn't a question on my lips.

What's the obsession with criticisng early leavers, they have paid as much as you and can make their own decisions.

As long as you see what you want to see, what's your problem.
While I agree with the op sentiment I had one experience leaving early when my health wasnt too good and realised that almost every other person was in the same boat. Disabled people, elderly people etc. Was an eye opener! Granted you still get some who don't fit this category

Agree. More disturbance from those rushing to be first in the queue at half time to get their pie and a pint, late from the concourse for the 2nd half and those needing a piss every 10 mins

75th minute onwards as usual. Unless it's a game like Madrid last season when last train, tram queues, work in the morning and other excuses are forgotten so the team can get the ovation it deserves. - Or was that because tourists understand the concept of staying until the end.
It's not the tourists who leave early its bloody season ticket holders. Especially where I sit

Well the title was tounge in cheek, but some people, including myself are curious if the strange breed that is the early leaver is going to give up potentially another 10 minutes of watching the best club side in world football every other week.

And at the risk of opening up a whole new conversation, the obsession for some comes from people taking the piss about empty seats - a lot of that comes from people coming and going early, late or not at all in the past. I know some people are hyper-sensitive about their right to do just that, but that’s my opinion.
