No team in the world I have been more impressed with over the past 2-3years, than Napoli.

I know, it's nearly blasphemous to say, as a Milan fan, but I am a football fan first and foremost... and Napoli is absolutely incredible.

From the president, who is absolutely ruthless, barbaric, yet a genius at once... to the fans, who imo, after travelling to many countries over my years to watch games, are the loudest and most diehard on the planet.

Watched a replay of their game v Dortmund yesterday, and good golly ms molly, Napoli is going to go very far this year. Not only this, they are going to dismantle Milan this weekend, especially with our insane injury crisis. Going to be brutal.

Check out this video after Higuain's goal yesterday v BvB... unreal. got goosebumps.

Love seeing historical teams rise from the ashes

And it was just our luck we met them when they got good again and ruined our first champions league campaign! Cunts.

-- Thu Sep 19, 2013 4:34 pm --

Apart from the obvious teams, them and atletico Madrid could have a very good CL run.

Quality team, quality fans and a quality manager regardless of what a chav says.

I think they'll dismantle Marseille.

Hamsik is going to be a a strong Ballon D'or candidate by year's end. Book it.

Ever since we played them in the Champions League they have become my Italian side, hopefully I can get over to Naples to watch some league games.

The atmosphere they generate is just something else, I especially love how they sing along to the Champions League anthem.

I said at the start of the season that Napoli are my pick to be this years underdogs for the CL, maybe it's a bit too early to call it as they still have a very tough CL group to get out of, but I tell you what though, it would not suprise me if they won every home game in that group, if they do that they will only need a draw away from home to get ten points which is usualy the target that sees you qualify.

Who knows, they may even top the group.

Could they be the team to knock Juventus off the top in Italy this season as well?? Either way, Napoli have a bright future ahead of them.

Fully agree. Benitez really knows what he is doing. For a number of reasons he's chronically underrated in this country (though not by LFC fans).

I've got a lot of time for Benitez and wish him well at Napoli.

Didn't go to the away game but the away fans along with Poznan and aaris were the best to visit eastlands.

I always keep an eye on their results and hope we can get our revenge at some point in the champions league.

Wouldn't bet on it, the African contingent are not someone you take chances with.

I remember England Tunisia in 98

I was there in Marseille in 98 and have no idea what you are talking about, the local immigrant population tried it on with the England fans and came off mostly very much the worst.

Napoli fans and Marseille fans will be a volatile mix too.
