The Rise of Napoli

Very impressed with them in the last couple of years, as said in another thread, its in an area which experienced very tough social problems and a very ugly north/south divide, and the football club is practically the only thing that brings the community together, its why they're so passionate and hostile.

Hamsik and Insigne are quite simply phenomenal footballers.

Before our first CL campaign didn't Mancini want to bring in all three of Cavani, Lavezzi and Hamsik? I am sure I read articles linking us with all three with Mancini even speaking our publicy about them, I can't remember correctly.

That video is incredible. As a player, how could you not feel that you owed those fans everything you could give?

There are even rumblings that, to avoid a certain type of taxation, Napoli will spend another 40 or so million in the winter market.

Who knows if it's true, but ADL is a serious owner who wants to win.

This team is going to be nuts to watch going forward. I would bet on Jackson Martinez and a midfielder coming

Didn't go to the away game but the away fans along with Poznan and aaris were the best to visit eastlands.

I always keep an eye on their results and hope we can get our revenge at some point in the champions league.

I went to Naples and it was by far the best and most intimidating atmosphere I have ever witnessed. When we had a bit of pressure in the second half I was almost willing us to lose the ball as their whistling was physically hurting my ears. As glad as I was to experience it, I would never go again though. Spent the full two days on edge and we were in Sorrento. It kicked off the night before and my mate had a knife pulled on him when he went to get some fags from a shop. We had a full police lockdown in the hotel on the day of the game. I was actually quite relieved when we got beat as the trip back to the airport was interesting. If we had won I can imagine it would have been a nightmare.

Going to be a bit naughty when they meet Marseille.

I think they'll dismantle Marseille.

Hamsik is going to be a a strong Ballon D'or candidate by year's end. Book it.

Yeah I can really see Ronaldo and Messi shitting it over him while they are banging 20 goals a piece in Europe and 50 each in La Liga
