But it's a job.To be fair, if there’s one place for robots to work then it’s the warehouse. Must be soul destroying for people to collect boxes all day in one of them.

Devil makes work for idle hands. We've lost 6 people from our UK team of around 43 this year. None have been replaced and each time we are told that advances in AI and a continued move to digitalisation will compensate. As soon as my customers go that way, put a fork in me cos I'm done. Just hope I can eek out another decade and take early retirement, although no idea what I'd live on.
I do wonder what will happen to all of us though as we advance to machine reliance. Short of the greatest worldwide social reform of all time, with work pretty much a thing of the past and all our efforts put into creativity arts, science, how do we ascertain value? Pay mortgages, achieve things we desire for etc. Will we still strive for achievement, as has been the human race's identity for millennia, or will we collectively sit and watch our arses grow knowing we need not work, walk, cook or think....
Could be the true golden age of the human race is about to start, but I think unfortunately there will be a few generations wading through the wreckage of change first.
We deserve to be fucked mate.Devil makes work for idle hands.
It's gonna be a shit show.
I worry for my kids and ones that come after.
The race to replace human labour tells us a great deal about human nature.
The Fermi paradox can be answered by this drive to replicate humans. We will fuck ourselves out of existance.
Which is a shame.
That comment encapsulates my younger days copping off technique. We deserve to be fucked mate.
I don't share your optimism. Human history suggests a tiny percentage will live like gods while the rest of us live like shit.World will adapt, more socialised style and fairer pay for everyone. Who knows.
For those old enough, I remember as a kid watching Tomorrows World, I recall watching them talk about technology, computers and robots int he future. It painted a vivid vision of increased leisure time and increased standards of living.
The reality poverty and unemployment, to be fair Mad Max was most likely a truer representation of what we can expect.
