The robots are coming

For those old enough, I remember as a kid watching Tomorrows World, I recall watching them talk about technology, computers and robots int he future. It painted a vivid vision of increased leisure time and increased standards of living.

The reality poverty and unemployment, to be fair Mad Max was most likely a truer representation of what we can expect.
They used to talk about the mystic year 2000 when we'd have to get used to working less. Even as a tender 10 year old, I wondered if people would still get paid for working less.

I watched a video earlier on drones delivering food, not to your house but to a central point. My initial though was that if you have to travel to a central point you might as well go to the fast food place before I realised more than one food outlet was using this central point.

Announced as a customer benefit they'll close all the outlets and like other businesses you wont have anyone to complain to if it goes tits up.

I had a discussion with a few mates not long ago that was similar to this, basically I remember a time when my parents wold take us shopping in a supermarket, they had someone on the till and someone else packing the shopping. Over time the person doing the packing was lost, they then introduced self service check outs to reduce the labour cost of the check out people. Move forward to today and they realise that they need people to service the self checkout machines and so are now pushing the online shopping angle.

The chase for maximising profits will only end one way. The supermarkets themselves are now the biggest costs and they will seek to close them down. They will maybe convert a couple to huge collection depots but the world we live in is going to change drastically.

If it wasn't for thieves they wouldn't employ anyone mate, they wouldn't even turn the lights on. Thieves are doing us all a favour by making the cunts employ people.

This is where we'll be

The rate of change in this country and beyond is scary with new rules and the surge in woke ridden ideals happening every other week.
I find myself switching off from mainstream media after listening to talk radio for a week or two.
It’s one of the most depressing radio shows for an old **** like me hearing some of the stuff going on in this once great country of ours.
I have real fear for my kids/grandkids and beyond for what lies ahead.
