The Rodri dilemma

We don't know where the fibre was grafted from plus he has been back over a year and we haven't seen the scans either. It it daft to speculate on things we can't see or no nothing about.
Top footballers don’t have the hamstring graft, they save that for people like me, lol.

Might not be a popular opinion but I think we should cash in.

He’s never been the same since the injury. Happens a lot to sportspeople who do their ACL.

Love him but he’s never going to be the old Rodders.

He won us so much and will forever be part of us but it’s time for a new chapter, and he could benefit from playing in a less intense and physical league.

No room for sentiment in football. I love him to bits but he is 30 soon and will never be the same player again, no matter how much we want him to be.

We should have taken the £100m that Real were supposedly offering a year ago.

We should take whatever we can get from Real during the next transfer window.

Being written of way too early. He was superb v Arsenal in the league cup final, and vs them in the league, he's clearly not been fully fit last 2 games but fair play to him for playing with a WC on the horizon. Losing him and Bernardo would be a killer blow and no chance we'd win the league without him next year.

The likely transfer money isn't worth the same to us as a year of his experience, providing he's at some level of fitness to be around the squad and not just in rehab somewhere.

I’m sure we will see lots of lazy journalism for a while. Doesn’t help we have a World Cup summer meaning any business we always be delayed.

Pep has gone so everyone jumps ship? No of course not. We were good before, no doubt we have been great in recent years and players coming here or Madrid are almost guaranteed success - it’s really been like that.

City are still going to be at the very top despite Pep leaving. I have every confidence in this club.

If Rodri does want to go then fair enough, he’s been immense and we wouldn’t have had more recent success without him. Personally if that is the case I’d like to see him stay a year and help with the changeover and then go wherever he wants on a free.

I actually think he stays, it’s just a bit turbulent out there at the moment. All the videos of the squad still shows a great spirit and harmony - how many dynasties don’t end well. We may not have won the league but we have had a domestic cup double and the squad still looks great behind the scenes, a crazy thing to say bearing in mind we are losing huge players and the greatest manager of all time but also a testament to the work put in over the last 10 years.

I think they'll be a full team clear out to fall in line with the Premier League enforced new style of football. Which is, ten men in the box, up and under, route one, kick and rush crap.
This is totally unfair because the rags have got an advantage.

I don’t see the club not accepting an offer this summer if Rodri says he doesn’t want to sign a new contract.

I’m of the opinion that some players are worth keeping around for their influence off of the pitch as well. Rodri is one such player.

It will be interesting to see hoq Maresca plays and supports him. Pep threw him to the dogs on occasions. Bournemouth away this week he ends up being the sole defensive midfielder trying to hold back a young energetic and fast Bournemouth team late in the game.
