The Rodri dilemma

No dilemma for me. Build the midfield around him next season.

He's being linked with Madrid, not Hull. Says enough.

Going to be enough changes, last thing with need is our linchpin going to Real Madrid.

(Obviously change my mind if he chooses he wants to leave which i don't think he will this summer)
My thoughts exactly

It might be because he has been a sly dirty get particularly against Bernie and Foden, a bit like Savic was with Foden there was no need for it.
Honestly I think youre looking for something that isn’t there. Milner has been and still is a firm no nonsense player on the pitch. I don’t think he’s a dirty snide player not at the level of some of the players in that current arsenal team anyway

Keep him, hopefully he'll sign an extension but he needs help alongside him as he's not the player he once was

His performances confirm he is a dirty snide player

He is the leader we need next season
After that he can do whatever he wants for me
He will want the send off after watching that yesterday
He is the player that won us the champions league and he deserves the big farewell

We need some positive news this week, after tonight, and Rodri signing an extension will be a great start, along with the signing of Anderson before they all start joining up with their international squads, then of course the announcement of Irao......err sorry Maresca

This! Exactly this! He's absolutely key to us having a successful season with a new manager next year.

I don't think we can afford to let him go. If there wasn't such upheaval this summer I'd say cash in, but we need leadership and semblance of continuity. I also don't think we'd get a player as good for the £50-60m we'd get for him so that sharpens the focus

Even if we lose him for free next summer it allows an additional year to source a replacement, have Anderson bedded in, etc

Preferably a new contract and 90%+ of the old Rodders.
However I have my doubts the latter can be achievable.
Could do with him helping to bed in new Midfielders.
I’ve got splinters on my arse.

There is no dilemma.

If we sell him then we may as well write off next season before it's started. Already enough upheaval anticipated, and if we can get him back to even 75% of the player he was, we're laughing.

I’d let Rodri decide what he wants to do he’s been a great servant for us over the years. Personally if he’s undecided I’d keep him another season and then he can go for free.

All of you having concerns about Rodri not being the player he once was. You do realise the two times this season he came up against the best midfielder to ever play the game Declan Rice he outshone him on both occasions.

I think he still has a huge role to play moving forwards

For players like Rodri, there is more value for a club like City keeping him for his final season and then letting him leave.

Keep him for one final year and let him go on a free.

No one is getting a better Rodri than we got.

Why would RM have offered £100m this time last year for a player out with a serious injury?
Because they are Real Madrid - always stirring the pot
