The Roma match has convinced me...

From the comments on here I think I missed a lot. Could someone please help out with how the lads lined up in both halves, not just a list of players but them in their positions as we usually do in the 'starting eleven 2015/16' thread.
Thanks in advance!

Caballero (Hart 46),

Sagna (Horsfield 46),
Kompany (C) (Evans 82),
Mangala (Denayer 46),
Clichy (Kolarov 46),

Fernando (Toure 46),
Zuculini (Nasri 46),

Garcia (Navas 46),
Silva (Lopes 46),
Sterling (Barker 46),

Iheanacho (Unal 51).

The middle five were more attacking in the first half, where we had Roma pressed back, but in the second half the midfield dropped back further and had to defend as a unit. Some will say we were 4-3-3, but it looked more like 4-5-1 at times. In the second half, with Barker and Navas on, we set up to fill the width of the pitch, whereas in the first we were more fluid. Wish I'd paid more attention for you. :-)

Like a lot of people I watched it on my phone so couldn't always tell who was who. First half though front three was sterling nacho silva. Looked awesome. I thing there is a big clue there.

unal looked terrible. His first action when coming on was to be out paced by a roma player.

I personally think lopes won't make it. looks like he has arrogance that isn't justified.

ianacho, denayer both look good.

Beggars belief, really astounds me how some CIty fans think.

I was impressed by virtually the whole team. Have to say though that Navas still has no end product. Nice guy, hard worker and all that just woeful at hitting the target. All the former EDS lads impressed me. Need to work on defending corners a bit more. Plenty of good moments for a pre-season friendly though.

Lots of positives to take out of today. It was only a friendly, of course, but the younger players looked great on the whole. Think Denayer, Lopes and Iheanacho are all ready to be part of the senior squad.

Interesting that Nasri was the only senior player not to take a penalty though. No big deal in the scheme of things, as we won, but found it surprising nonetheless.

maybe he was nursing a knock, sure I saw him on the bench with a bandage on his lower leg and was surprised he came on,

Does anyone else think that Iheanacho might be a bit intense? I noticed last preseason that players don't seem to be overly friendly with him. Also noticed that some players seem slo to pass to him. My gut feeling is that he is so determined to succeed that he might not fit in with the rest of the lads as well as others. Might be totally unfair but just got that impression.

I think he will be a star, football manager doesn't but I do.

Just have this feeling about him.

Majority of the players at that level are focused, driven, determined, eager, ambitious individuals and I don't think for a second that will hold him back, you really have to be to get to the top

He'd probably have looked for a pass.
