The Roses are past it and Oasis never had it.

You want talent, look no further than Blur.

do you need help with your soup ??

Musically, lyrically superior along with invention and longevitity - i thankyou......

Oh Dear........have you and the boss seen the plane yet ?.......................

I can see where people are coming from in regards to Blur from a creative sense. But I do not think they have as many good tunes as Oasis. Blur might have been more original but they never did a full album as good as Definitely Maybe. From sing along anthems or rock rock out stompers Oasis will take some beating.

For creativety and originality then you can not look any further than New Order and the Mondays. It breaks my heart watching the likes of Snow Patrol headline over them.

Seen Oasis six times and Charlatans on the undercard 3 times each time the Charlatans pissed all over them!

I loved the Charlatans. They were my fave band for a long while. I have seen them numerous times and I agree with you that they are great live.

I never got to see the 2 together though. I went to Knebworth on the Saturday and it was the prodigy supporting.

The Charlatans are the most under rated of all the Madchester/Britpop bands. They made some truely great albums and tunes.

I could listen to Noel play acoustic all night

Can any of the others?

Strange that..........you'd think that the Tim and the boys would have topped the bill if they were that good ?

Massive Charlatans fan Btw but they're not close to Oasis...........

The Charlatans are awesome, amongst my favourites - i have a vinyl copy of Indian rope that got the ball rolling.......

New Order are on a different level entirely - Gods.

Oasis are better live, better songs, better attitude, better atmosphere! You cant beat an Oasis gig.

An Oasis gig is like Ronseal.

I am a bit surprised at the lack of Love for Oasis on here really. Looking back now they were the sound track to some amazing times.

Blur - a bunch of never-were's. Handful of jaunty cockney kness-up tunes and that was it. Damon Albarn = Ian Dury wannabe.

Roses - Space cadets. Ran out of drugs, ran out of ideas. Hyped up beyond belief. Ian Brown solo albums laughable.

Oasis - Best debut album ever, gradually ran out of steam, but the only band of the three who could play a three-hour show where everyone would know and sing all the songs
