The Russians Are Coming!!

They do this all of the time whether it’s bombers, surveillance planes or submarines. They are testing our reaction times. Not sure why the BBC have decided to report this as if it’s out of the ordinary.

I genuinely don’t know where I stand on Russia, I don’t like Putin, I think he is an aggressor but I can’t help but think the press are trying very hard to demonise the Russians and Putin as much as they can. Putin is no fan of the EU and the EU doesn't like him, so it's probably no wonder certain papers and wings of the media are demonsing him even more and change the view of the public.. I don't care, we are still part of NATO regardless of EU membership.

Pretty much how I see things too. I

What do all the leftists make of this then?

Is red Jezzer right that we should not maintain a nuclear deterrent whilst nuclear bombers (minus the nukes) continue to borderline infringe our airspace?

Russia is currently the most aggressive nation on Earth and has over a thousand nukes in it's pocket.

Maybe we should scrap an army altogether and let them fly over so we can happy flag them to death.

Chin up, if you survive, you could become an immigrant, somewhere.

He daren't come over the Irish Sea though. He knows we'd bate the head off him.

They've been doing this for the last few years. They are testing our reaction times.

I wish Australia or somewhere would lease out the middle of their country where there is fuck all. Fighting countries could settle their differences there then. Army vs Army, no civillians and show it on BT Sport

good idea, you could expand it to parlour games such as World War Scrabble or Conflict Connect Four.

be a better world.

The MoD confirmed on Wednesday that Typhoons were sent out to escort the two Russian Tupolev Tu-160 Blackjack aircraft away from the UK coastline.
The Russian bombers have not entered UK airspace, but are currently inside the UK’s area of interest, a MoD spokesperson said.

Further to my earlier post about the Ruskies. We were told that in the 1970's all HGV drivers delivering goods over to the UK from USSR were Russian tank commanders. They would report back about our roads and how well everything was sign posted.

Also whilst serving I was told that one of our ships was visited by a Soviet Helicopter which subsequently lowered a bottle of champagne with a note saying "Happy Birthday Captain" and it was his birthday too. Eek!!

Happens almost every other week this.

Family are in the RAF. Don't know why the BBC would make such a song and dance about this time though?

You can imagine Cameron going to greet them in his dingy for peace as he basically reduced all our military defence budget because he's such a gimp, he's left us open to attacks.

That's obviously rubbish as they could just have asked any member of the labour party to report back.
