The Scottish Politics thread

Just as long as Merseyside isn't included!
Ooops oh yes I forgot about that… I guess it will have be just Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Might just include Derbyshire and Yorkshire let Merseyside go to North Wales. There’s a heck of a lot of them there already! Can’t have them Merseysiders with us! :-)

They can keep the castles and have the dog on St Andrews day.

Seriously though it might be an absolute nightmare to pick through it all. Too much so they just don’t bother and say let’s start afresh but even that’s not simple
A task for the civil servants and lawyers. Kerching.

Well could have a national vote on should Scotland be independent of the UK or just the Scots vote, either way if the majority vote to leave that's how democracy works and they go their own way. Then the minority who wanted to stay can start a thread and drone on and on and on.
Scottish independence. They're only gonna get a majority if we vote!
What’s it to do with us?
Genuinely puzzled.

Are we not part of the same nation, they've had one go already the fish ladies going to go on and on trying to get a result the suits her. Good chance if we all have a vote she'll get it.
We don’t live in Scotland. Well I don’t anyway. If there was a referendum for England or Greater Manchester to secede I’d expect a vote otherwise it’s not my business. Using your weird logic the whole of Europe should have had a Brexit vote.

Why are the countries in the EU part of the United Kingdom, I hate to disappoint you but the EUs a collection of nations. The United Kingdoms a nation comprised of 4 countries. I think your logics a bit off.

Can you genuinely see that happening though? You are, of course, right.

We’re also keeping the languages you’re going to have to go back to that grunting celtic thing ;)
Gaelic was the predominant language in Scotland for a relatively short time. No going back I’m afraid.

Predominant? Only north of Perth. Rest of country spoke Ulster Scots/Lallans. In fact Welsh was even spoken up here. Unfortunately gaelic was pretty much eradicated due to the genocide of the highlands. There’s more polish speakers in Scotland than Gaelic speakers Id guess. And weegies can barely speak basic English.
