To be a 'Unionist' Party you actually have to do something thats conducive to a 'Union' and make sure that decisions made don't impact, damage and hurt.... Conservatives have done what they have always done ...... look after their own interests.

We steal the oil and gas income from them
You know nothing about the UK oil and gas income or its subsidies/ revenues and your word steal is utterly ridiculous, but not surprising from you.

Thought the oil and gas along with a big chunk of fisheries belong to the islands who are pushing for self determination.

No insults in what i posted whatsoever. so stop inventing things lol.

Anyway weve been here before. I have no issue with an independent Scotland. But until then I firmly beileve UK expenditure should be distributed on a needs basis not based on political expediency as you do.
Its never been hard to tell the difference between a Scotsman with a grievance and a ray of sunshine as PG Woodhouse once said.
We have been here before. A circular argument about the Barnett formulae if I remember. I think Scotland and the English Regions are funded based on it aren't they?

Its amusing that you think that Scotland (tax revenue of £60 million plus) cant survive without England but you accept that New Zealand with a similar population and a tax revenue of £43 million can.
When did I say that? I have no opinion on Scottish finances or independence if they wish to stay fine if they wish to go also fine as long as divorce bill is paid.

When did I say that?

You didnt but people in England cling onto a belief that Scotland (for some reason) needs to be in the UK to survive... ....it just doesn't. In fact England would be well and truly f@cked without the revenue from Scottish oil and gas fields in the past.

Conservatives eh. Squandered Englands wealth. Wheres all the money gone?

No idea where its gone but gone it has get over it.

You use lol quite a bit don’t you?
When it’s used on here, as it sometimes is, I picture someone at a keyboard suddenly bursting into raucous laughter. It must scare the bejesus out of anyone that shares your space. Or maybe it means lots of love :-).
I picture someone who really doesn't have a clue how to respond to a valid point but can't admit it, so they think a patronising lol will suffice.

Their public finances will be quite a mess if they are collecting a tenner per person.

Taking oil revenue from Scotland to fund an economic overhaul of the financial services and infrastructure in London and the South is exactly what I would call stealing. Norway have a Trillion pound oil fund, while producing far less oil than Scotland since the mid 70s.

That's a fair comment. Scottish oil was used to bail the UK and the Thatcher govt out in the 80's. They were fucking things up as badly (or worse) than any post war govt until they created a short term boom on the back of Scottish oil and used deregulation and privatisation to turn London into a casino. It's the reason I think Scotland should be debt free on independence, but I still think they are having a laugh with their plans for an independent economy based on a 70's vision of oil prices and future demand.
