Although wee Tommy McHanks on his island is a convincing story not sure how it relates to A&E waiting times as they have surely made it to the hospital.
Don’t know about the rest of Scotland, or the rest of the UK for that matter, but our local hospital recruitment is a huge problem.

So many problems in the UK and the world as a whole, I haven’t known a time like the last 15 years it’s been one thing after another. The next few years are going to be bad for a lot of people but not everyone.

Picking a party to solve these issues is a non starter tbh, will people vote for a party that they think will cause the least amount of harm to the people who need the most help or will they vote for what’s best for them. I know the answer and it’s rather depressing.

The subject at hand was A&E waiting times ie people waiting in hospital so aqua ambulances whether they exist or not are irrelevant:-)

Maybe a lack of comprehension when reading posts and replies isn’t great either in your neck of the woods, Glasgow island isn’t it:-)

The thread relates to the Scottish Governments overall performance in managing social affairs, most recently healthcare. To which they have a much larger logistical challenge than compared with down South. That's what you replied to... . Obviously not at one with the recent post are we mate? Confused with the waiting times thread?

Want me to draw you a wee map, point out the hospitals and explain how ambulances have to cover a much larger geographical area. And how it means more people spread out over much greater distances from hospitals. It doesn't hurt the brain to conclude to why that may be an evident factor in running a national health service. Which btw, includes ambulances covering 96 islands...

It really is not that hard to comprehend. Unless your brains been blunted by too many pictures in the Daily Express?

Sorry you’re just boring me now I can’t be arsed with humourless posters on a mission. Good luck with those remote islands though. If you find any autonomous indigenous people let us know:-)

It’s not looking good for independence when excuses of a large landmass are being trotted out for government failure lol.

By all means defend her and her party but come on ;-)

A&E waiting times being the worst on record have got nothing to do with Ambulances or landmass btw and everything to do with people being sat waiting for over 4 hours to be seen.

A couple of new ferries would help with the large distances of water too.

That is all true. I notice it has dropped from 12 hours to 4 hours pretty quickly, so lets hope it keeps improving.

All joking aside though, it is something that really does need improvement.

I think his point was waiting times don't include getting to the hospital. They do include treatment and discharge.

What’s the story then fellow Scots? Is it tug our forelock and put up with another 50 years of Tory governance, vote for a lacklustre SNP that increasingly show hehaw competence for something as mighty difficult as independence. Do nothing and complain?
Or are we fucked whatever we do?

Has the pandemic sucked the fire and ambition from our bellies?

Vote Labour and stay within the UK ;-)

Seriously though Tory rule is only guaranteed seemingly because Labour lost Scotland.

We all vote Labour!
Wouldn't make any difference replace the SNP MP's with Labour and overall majority remains the same.
