Stand by me (the film) is fantastic. I haven't read any Stephen King.. although I know his story is Shawshank, It, Misery and one of my favourite films is 'The Langoliers' enjoyed The Stand too.. never read his books though.. I should really.

Stand by me = the body. You should. He brought out a book of four novellas called Different Seasons, 3 of them were Apt Pupil, the Shawshank Redemption and Stand by Me. Not bad for one book :)
