The show us your cat thread.

Cheers guys . Yeah , our Nash lived the best life possible . Miss her terribly . She`d been in our lives since she was 6 weeks old . One of the worst decisions i`ve ever had to make was deciding it was time to let her go :-(((( Struggling with massive guilt feelings even though i knew her time was up . NLP . We called her after Nasher from the Beano !

Our previous Siamese lived till he was 18 which is a good age for the breed. We let him go as his kidneys had failed. Sad, but the right thing to do. You did well by Nash. My cure for the sadness……get another one.

It's always a tough decision but one that shows you love your pet and you value it's life and contribution to your life.

I waited a year after i lost my 21yr old , i was broken and not sure i wanted another one but a friend of mine said every day you are wallowing there is another cat in the horrible sanctuary just waiting for you , so i went to the sanctary with a picture of sky so i could ask them not to show me any that looked like her .

I adopted silva , it was a strange first week or so , i wasnt sure i had done the right thing and i had gone from an oldie blind cat to a lively one year old !, Sadly she died six years later

Back i went to adopt again after four months , got merlin , just a few months old again , i instantly fell in love with him . It was difficult for silva following sky and i never felt totally bonded with her despite her sleeping in the bed with me every nite , i gave her a good life though

Sorry to be long winded about it , you adopt , not buy and give them as much love as they will let you, each one is different but you have enough love to go around

After Trigger passed away this summer we were going to hold off for a while. Then….see this couple are having to move and can’t take cats with them as new owner is super allergic to cats. It was a little early tbh but hated these two cats having to be re housed and probably separated as they’d been together for 8 years. It’s been a big adjustment as they’ve got completely different characteristics from the good old boy….anyhoo this is Thor and Tux.
