Either way, there is a wonderful poetic justice about it, as the drivers at the forefront of commercialisation of football realise that someone else is actually much better at it than they are, and not only that, they are winning trophies at the same time.

Poor things, it can’t be easy for United fans any more. Still, at least they can take comfort in the fact the league is coming back to Manchester and not going to Liverpool!
