James supported The Smiths at their final Hacienda gig in November 83 and The Palace Theatre March 85.
The Red Guitars backed them in Feb 84 at The Free Trade Hall as did Raymonde (fronted by Morrissey's pal James Maker) at the FTH 86

Been revisiting Strangeways, Here We Come a lot recently. Always preferred The Queen Is Dead personally but noticed that all Smiths’ members (I think?) felt that Strangeways was their masterpiece? Both absolutely brilliant albums in their own way.

Always TQID for me 10/10 with the other 3 on 9.9/10 lol

Shouldn’t really include them in this, but where would you rank Hatful of Hollow, Louder Than Bombs, The World Won’t Listen and, erm, Rank if you had to give a top 8?

Wouldn't rate Louder The Bombs high as it is a compilation of 2 compilations (originally an import) although does have a few alternative versions.
Rank as a live album, never been a lover of live albums. Bought Rank and Nocturne by The Banshees (as I was there) and no other... Played Rank maybe twice in total all the way through.

Between 3, 4 and 5 there is a hair width between them. But that is my preference.
