The Smiths & Morrissey thread

Me and my pal went to the Blackburn gig, the boozer facing played smiths and morrissey songs non stop if I remember rightly, was a fantastic setlist and a top gig.
City beat West Brom 2-0 away in the afternoon.
I was flogging my Morrissey's Manchester book outside before and after. Gave a copy to Linda Sterling and Marc Lard.
And yes the boozer opposite was playing tunes before and after.
Remember Rochdale born / LA raised drummer Deano wearing a 'Dale shirt!

Salford Uni 1986 with Craig Gannon. Best concert I have been to. Night after the Festival of the tenth summer. I was working so couldn't go to that.

First Smiths gig I went to. I think Panic came out the next day.

The new album is pretty good

Like the one that mentions Talbot Road and Chester Road

Been blasting on Spotify in the car yesterday and today.....

As you say, cracking tune "I once saw the river clean"
Very biographical like "Late Night Maudlin St".
References Chester Road, Talbot Road and Cornbrook St and buying Metal Guru for 45p!
Very pleasantly pleased with it. Last two albums (not including laat years covers album) have both been an album of 2 halves.... This is more solid and way less thrashing guitars by Jesse Tobias.
Really enjoying it :)

Blackburn 2002 is still my all time favourite Morrissey gig. It was a perfect setlist and night.

City away at West Brom with Anelka and Goater both scoring and combining that day first to win 2-1 - was a long day but a good one. Moz used to tense up and run off the stage after his 2 shirt throws in those days to not look fat, can't believe he was only 42 then.
