The Smiths & Morrissey thread

I loved that New York Dolls intro into Sunday.
The one I posted was too long winded between songs.... don't think it worked to be honest.
Ruined on the Live at Earls Court album by, of course, being used to intro...you know what (I walked out in Dublin and got myself a beer when he played it)

Yes I didn't want to mention that.....
He brought that song back on last years US tour and during the NY concert I needed a piss.... great timing by the Great Man when that song came on......

Sometimes it’s better when your heroes die young, rather than becoming old, bitter and, well, a bit racist. Will always love the music (particularly The Smiths and his early solo work) but find it increasingly difficult to like the man.

Feel like going to McDonald's every time he opens his stupid gob.

Does no one think he's right on some subject's? Especially halal being forced upon us...

As a vegetarian myself I’m opposed to any kind of animal cruelty, although I’m pretty sure it’s not true that halal meat "requires certification that can only be given by supporters of ISIS", as he claimed.

Yeah true I think he's stereotyping there. Although he is controversial he does have a few points in that interview.

Nothing about that interview struck me as controversial.

He's a very diverse character who speaks openly.

I've disagreed with a number of things he's said previously but that particular interview seemed okay to me.

I agree with a lot of what he says but he's starting to get into a dangerous area. Hitler a lefty ffs....
Hitler was a socialist. Hed led the National Socialist Workers Party so was leaning to the left. Admittedly his lefty credentials are not help greatly by his views upon anyone who was not blue eyed and blonde haired and who also happened to be Jewish, gay, disabled, gypsies etc etc.

having now read the interview, I still believe the man is contravertial for the sake of it and most of his comments are about exposure or album sales

Bores to death with his vegan shite, we know you hate meat eaters, don't need to tell us every time you speak, ya fat ****

I agree with the guardian comment, it has become the most self righteous, liberal, bag of shite paper that looks to be offended by everything.

Supporting or advocating For Britain and then saying he isn't leaning right wing - pull the other one mozza.

The rest of the interview is mainly alright, though his dismissal of the smiths as something he doesn't listen to or think about and he recent stuff being more important is bollocks.

Never understood or liked this pretentious creep, he says nothing to me about my life,

you only hear from him when he has some crap to flog or he gets a tax bill.

Mozza feck off and die .

The Nazis murdered thousands of socialists and communists.
They were killing them and lynching them even before taking power.

This Hitler was a lefty thing it seems to me is a thing that has emerged in recent years to smear people on the left.
