Announced a north American tour.... last three dates New York, Philly and Boston.....
looking at flights...... what could possibly go wrong?
Just watched england is mine and had no idea he was in a band with billy duffy.
He comes across as completely weird in the film.
Wonder if its a true picture of him ?

This latest tune got an airing at the match at half time yesterday!

He is on later with Jools Holland on 3 Oct and playing at Maida Vale as part of some BBC thing on the Monday (2nd) so that may be live on 6music for anyone interested.

Just a shame Fanzone Danny had to start talking over it! :(

Yes the Nosebleeds, (formally Ed Banger and the Nosebleeds) they played 2 gigs, one at the Ritz supporting Magazine, the other at the Poly student union with Slaughter and the dogs.
Duffy was the link between Morrissey and Marr, knowing both and telling Marr where to find Moz.

I didn't know that. I still have my 7" copy of "I ain't been to no music school" kicking around here.

Haven't seen it yet...... very limited places in the US it was shown - @TCIB sent me links to watch it on streams but you had to sign up and other nonsense to watch it.
It is released on DVD in December so will wait until then!
It reminded me of the joy division film control in its style,he is certainly portrayed as a very strange bloke .thinking about it quite like Ian Curtis..

They did about 5 songs, one was called ''I'm ready for the electric chair'' and ''Peppermint Heaven'' - none of which have ever seen the light of day in any format :(
I bet you would have got a cassette of that gig from the stall on the underground market in Manchester at the time .
I bought loads from there .I remember he used to play them for you and you had to decide if you could make out the songs.
They used to sound ok sometimes on his machine ,then when I put them on my Amstrad stacker they were bloody awful :+)

A film about The Smiths with no Smiths music. It could have been a brilliant piece, given the subject matter. It’s lame and most annoyingly, anodyne. Something the Smiths never were.
