I honestly don’t think he cares. Always played what he wants and I guess always will.

Got to be careful it doesn’t turn into a mass karaoke singalong.

I was a bit disappointed Hand in Glove wasn’t played. I can only think he hasn’t been overly impressed with it when he has done it so far, so he has dropped it.

I thought the delivery of the songs he chose were spot on though and it was a great gig. I get your point for occasional fans though.

I know what you mean, I did warn my smiths obsessed 14 year old daughter that he wold probably play some of his least known songs and even the bloke sat next to me who sang along with everyone song was abit miffed why he played Scandinavia. Saying that my daughter enjoyed every minute of it and have to say im not his biggest fan but he's still got it.
 
My eldest lad went and he said the same as others are saying on here. He knows more Smiths songs than the morrissey one's, he was a bit disappointed in that sense but said he was fantastic live and they sounded really good.
I did warn him that moz would only play a few smiths songs.

I think he'd honestly rather end up in smaller venues. The alternative is ending up like Toto and selling out the arenas to under 30's who just want to hear Africa ten times. The danger for any older artist with a big back catalogue is they end up doing greatest hits karaoke tours for the money - not sure that is Morrissey's thing.

I know and I agree with that, which is why he is in smaller venues/he's only playing one gig in England on the tour.

Having said that, by the sounds of it, he was interested in a Smiths reunion and it was Marr that put a stop to it so perhaps there is the hunger for what How Soon Is Now/Shoplifters was like on Saturday night.

@Cellarite glad you made that playlist list before so there was a little familiarity with most of the songs.
Did you see my books on sale in the lads club?
And $9 a pint! I went to see Billy Idol 3 weeks ago and paid $23 (£17) for a large can of beer. Stupidly forgot to ask the price before he cracked open the can.

Well it was a nice day for a…..

Worse thing is my daughter ordered first, then her boyfriend and I said I’ll get these….. ordered mine and almost fainted when the card reader said $69.
Then it came to “add in tip” and simply clicked 0
I know the bloke behind the bar doesn’t set the prices but I’m not paying $23 a beer AND tipping the staff

I saw the books but didn't make the connection to you. I might've bought one otherwise.
