The Southampton Thread!

Hi all, Southampton fan here.

I was pleasantly surprised to see fans from another club sympathize with our current situation. The general sentiment in the Southampton camp is that although Cortese is notoriously difficult to please (hence some calling him a bully) he was a very astute businessman that has brought a level of success that many fans thought would not occur in their lifetimes. We owe him great gratitude for this. Katarina, unlike her father has no passion for football and it seems she wished to cash in an asset that Cortese has grown.

She has steadily encroached on her agreements and not allowed Cortese the freedom to run the business as he wishes. Their are also rumours circulating that Cortese wanted to buy the club out with the aid of financial backers he knew from his time as a banker, and that Katarina rejected every proposal put forward.

Southampton fans now fear mass exodus, from Pochettino who was loyal to Cortese rather than the club...to players that had been sold the "Southampton vision" by Cortese and no longer think this vision can be realised (Champion league football, dont laugh).
