The Spiteful Nine

Not if City are kept out of it. One team from Manchester, one from Liverpool, and one from Birmingham. Throw in one each from Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, East Midlands, South Coast, West Country, East of England, plus five from London. They may even add a couple from Glasgow plus one each from Belfast and Dublin to round things off.

All by invitation/franchise. You would have to given them silly names like the Birmingham Bastards or the Liverpool Layabouts.

sorry to put you right but if City are left out than there is NO team from Manchester might be one from Trafford or Greater Manchester ;)

Is it not “The Narcissistic Nine”?

Nein....

Nein! Nein! Nein!

As soon as they can get 14 votes to go the way they want they will bring The US model of a closed league. No relegation or promotion and watch the money roll in.
These businessmen know their onions when it comes to extracting money out of the fans of the mainstream US sports but baseball and American football does not have the world wide appeal that football and the PL in particular has.
That's why they want it here and the lemmings will just give it to them.

Lesser leagues in Europe also such as Austria, Portugal Holland etc have similar domination by 1-3 clubs but none appear to
worry EUFA as much as City do.
Yet Scudamore wants a new name on the trophy each year. Perhaps Newcastle, Wolves, and Burnley expect a turn at being PL champions as a reward for signing the letter.

Now come on, people have turned a blind eye somewhat to Leicester and Liverpool but I don't think this lot could keep a straight face if Burnley were lifting the trophy.

It appears to be working then!

Apart from the EPL, that is.

Pesky upstarts like Leicester managed a title. History clubs United and Liverpool only managed one title each with Arsenal and wannabe History club Spurs no league titles.
And the money teams got from being in the CL once it started meant our top 4 was more or less the same as the payments distorted the PL and gave these teams huge advantages in the transfer market but no one had any issues with this did they

Bit tongue in cheek but l do wonder if they had some 'encouragement.'

... Leicester were 5000-1 , hmmm.

though saying that, I reckon United are odds on to win it. Not from great football or anything like that, just the puppet control via VAR and refs.

edit: checked, lowest odds for any team is only 1000-1 - once bitten by a syndicate???
