I do think we are trying to sure up the middle so we can play a 10 that takes more risks. Cherki/Foden/Reijnders are no where near the physical presence of KDB. We need some players that can control the tempo, run and just hit people behind them.

David Silva was special.

Younger players are far more relaxed than seniors when it comes to accepting lowish game time. Plus, we have to show academy players there is a genuine pathway to the first team. That's why its a good idea to integrate 2 or 3 graduates into the senior squad every year. Next season I would go for Mfuni, Mukasa and McAidoo. What we do with Muamba, Echeverri, Nypan, Simpson-Pusey, Alleyne, Bah, Heskey Bros etc etc is down to Hugo,
Jeezus, we are so rammed with talent This is what Pep is referring to when he says the future of the club is so bright..

Out 4 players, 1 a first team player, 4 over 30, 3 that have played little to no part of Citys first team, and are unlikely to play much next season, 2 out of contract, 2 i would not give a squad place next season, 4 on high wages, 4 vastly experienced and skillful players, 2 central midfielders, 2 central defenders Bernardo, Kovacic, Stones and Ake.
So a Christmas formation, with 1 signing, only because i think it is an 80%.

AM. Cherki, F9, Marmoush, F10, Foden, A2 Silvinho, F11. I have put in order of value to us, so Silvinho already struggling for game time, will find pre seasons academy products reducing it further, and will probably ask for a transfer.
DM. Reijnders, F12 Onana, F13 Nico G, F14 Lewis, A3. brought in Onana as he is the best DM in the league, so if we lose Nico or Rodri we will not drop standards, also Lewis is another that has hardly played, and will struggle for game time next season, so a loan maybe his best choice.
D. Max, A4 Branthwaite, E2 Guehi, E3 Khusanov, F15, some would say Van Der Ven rather than Branthwaite, but that would take game time of O`Rielly at LB.
G. Trafford, A5 Bettineei E4
So leaving a workable squad if we get a new manager next year, as some players will follow him out, and the new manager and director will want big name signings.
 
I personally dont think Rodri is going to Madrid, they dont usually pay big money for older players on 1 year left.

They have done it, like Hazard, but rarely, and I think they got burned so hard on that we saw the new young potential approach only from Madrid lately.

So I think Rodri is getting an extension.

I can see Bernie and Kova going and Anderson coming then for 1 of them as we barely had Kova feature anyways.

Tonality seems superfluous but would make sense if another surprise outgoing happens, like Nico G, but I really hope we keep him and give him more minutes this season to convince him.

do we sign a young gk or old experienced gk ? i'm more in favor of buying older gk

i like Robin Risser - good gk with fairly good ball playing ability

David Soria seems like a decent choice for a back-up and is free this summer

Diomande is very talented, but i doubt he would come here if Liverpool can offer more minutes and more important role, i'd be happy if we give minutes to Mcaidoo

also count in RB -Kayode, Livramento or someone else

Anderon, Tonali, Rodri midfield is something eh?

also i'd expect someone else to leave - Marmoush or Nico

City had shown interest in the last window for the above player and had kept their interest open. Panichellli had just been called up last weekend for Argentina on the back of a brilliant season so far. Unfortunately he suffered a bad injury to his anterior cruciate.

If City are looking at alternatives then as @skratins had posted previously there is Franculino 21 they could consider, or Armando González 22 who plays for Guadalajara Chivas in Mexico who has been in amazing scoring form for his team. He got a hat trick in his local derby match showing his confidence in big games. He has just set a new club record for scoring the most goals in the entire season with 5 games still to play. Previously held by Javier Hernandez (yes that one).

 
What’s everyone’s obsession with Tonali he’s like the weakest midfielder out of all the names out there.
