The Squad planning thread

what is with these rumours to Ounahi?

Girona are offering him to us as he’s stat wise one of the best midfielders in La liga this season he’d only cost 20 million. They don’t want him to go to another big Spanish team.

With our connection to Girona we’d basically be paying 17 million pounds for one of the best midfielders in La liga

While your question is valid.. Marmoush is actually good compared to Nico G, Reijnders and Kalvin.

But same thing happened with Nunes.

Nunes sucked it up and just asked Pep to teach him to do what he wants and look at what he is now.

Maybe some will make the cut, some don't.. but we did have a crazy hit rate of a lot of players.. now we're just not hitting jackpots as often outside of Cherki.

Think we can add Khusanov to that list.

Might not be too long before Guehi/ Semenyo

Don’t know why Gonzalez is in your list when he plays he’s very good, being kept out by Rodri doesn’t change that. Reijnders we’ll see. Putting them in a list with Phillips is just daft.
Then there’s Khusonov, Guehi, Semenyo and maybe Reis.

Would argue all 3 have proven very good signings along with Cherki. To be great signings takes time and given the standard set under Pep - trophies. Nico G, Marmoush and Reijnders are good players but for Marmoush Haaland presents an almost immovable player. To some extent Rodri the same for Nico G - who I think is an excellent player. Reijnders third choice number 10 assuming Phil Foden can get back to his best. Would not describe any as a big miss

Ake once again unbelievable.

Would like to see him stay another year and then leave on a free. We are losing some big leaders in Bernie and Stones and with competition for places like the idea of Reis getting another year in Girona.

But I can see why most would say let Ake go and bring Reis back. But you cannot fault Ake whatsoever and what he brings to this team.

Ake will likely make the World Cup side but would be foolish to stay around for another season. It would probably make more sense for him to go to Girona and replace his compatriot Daley Blind (36), whose contract is up this summer and who has played the whole season. Ake could play there for another 3-4 years and enjoy himself.

Look at the quoted post I responded to.

How can they do that?
If Barcelona came on with a bigger bid, how would they work around that?

Marmoush looked poor yesterday and slow?
By now everyone should understand that Marmoush is not a striker, he is an CAM who can play winger due to the fact he is Faster than our other CAM, he also shoots more that passes backwards, which is a plus for me. he looked slow as he had nowhere to run so he got overpowered. The striker we should sign is Dadason 18 years old, backup to Haaland , plays the same way, does not take up a squad place, does not appear on wages or transfer costs, sits on the bench waiting for his 15 minutes. There is little doubt that bringing on Haaland changed the way Southampton played.

I'd get rid of Wilson-Esbrand, Reijnders, Savinho, Stones, Mbete, Kabore & Phillips. Hopefully Everton & Inter will activate the buy clauses they have for Grealish & Akanji.

I'd also consider any decent offers for Marmoush, Dias & Ait-Nouri.

If it looks like Kovacic can stay fit i'd keep him for another year, hes a great player its just a bit of a risk. I'd loan Trafford out if its a possibility because we cant lose him hes fantastic.

From what I understand, he has a 20 million euro release clause, Girona need funds this summer so they want City to take him for the release clause which would give them funds to improve the team straight away.

But not going to play any meaningful games going forward is he? Maybe one to go as Semenyo can play central if required and get a proper top class winger in?
if we sell Marmoush then most likely Pep will put Semenyo there or we will play F9,i doubt we will buy another striker

id be happy if Mcaidoo gets the spot or someone like Mika Godts
