Also should look at Eichhorn, and Eduardo Conceicao.

For fun my dream signings would be:

Diomande, can play RW AND LW, very important when replacing Savinho to get an elite prospect who can play both sides. Would let Semenyo play centrally more often as well. This is why I prefer him over say Barcola, a pure LW, and his dribbling is Doku levels of elite that Barcola is nowhere near.

Anderson, speaks for itself, ball/duel winning monster with good passing and shooting to boot. Number 1 priority.

If Kova leaves, then Maza is a great young 8 prospect to replace him.

If we lose Rodri or Nico G then id go for Wharton as a 6.

In house, keep Trafford over Donna, bring back Reis. Promote McAidoo as a backup RW. Maybe Mukasa backup midfielder but only if Reijnders is sold, otherwise no space.

That's it? A young RB prospect would be nice, but I posted in another thread that its likely Maresca inverts the LB, meaning the RB stays back, and if Reis is brought back, I can see Guehi doing that role more often.

That’s literally every single transfer I’d make, plus Schlotterbeck if Gvardiol and/or Dias goes.

Doku Haaland Diomande would terrify defences. Anderson can do everything in midfield. Schlotterbeck would really compliment our style and is tall, quick, good in either box and a great passer.

Did you hijack my brain ? This is deadass what I just told my best mate.

Is there any 6 that interests you if we had to lose Nico G or Rodri.

I’ve been singing his praises for a while now but my pick is Fabian Ruiz, not a duel winner but elite passer and super press resistant.

Previous Viana interest

I really don’t understand this link.

He had great numbers last season but pretty average this season. Never performed in the Arsenal or PSG games.

That league is like Bundisliga on steroids, if the choice is Savio or him i’d stick with Savio even though I don’t jump for joy whenever I watch him.

Schlotterbeck is one I've been eyeing as an Ake replacement and before Guehi came in.

Great player.

I listed my ideal replacement if we lose Rodri or Nico G, thats Wharton.

Very young, but his build up and passing from deep creates so many dangerous chances that I think Haaland or Semenyo or a Diomande would love.

I think we are in for another really big window.

I think sorting out the midfield should be the priority. Anderson is a must to get done pre-WC for me, ticks all the boxes for me and is the absolute number 1 option in that area going into next season with him and Rodri together would fill me with confidence. Outside of that, I think Reijnders will stay and play a bigger role under Maresca. Kovacic is someone that I think could go if there’s an offer on the table but equally it’s not hugely a big deal should he stay. I do think Nico Gonzalez does go, there’s been murmurs for some time and I just don’t see him ousting Anderson or Rodri which is a shame as I don’t think there’s a real player in there.

So that likely leaves us with a midfield unit of: Rodri, Anderson, Reijnders. I think we definitely need someone else also in there, I think in terms of profile wise, someone that’s full of energy, an all-action type profile would be useful, I do think Maza or Alex Scott fit the bill. Lamine Camara I also hugely rate but I wouldn’t say he’s quite as technically gifted as the other two.

In terms of our defence then. A new right back should come in I think whoever it is will be a back-up to Nunes. I quite like the Porro signing, good going forward, PL proven shouldn’t be overly expensive I would think but I do think it maybe makes more sense to go for a younger profile that could eventually surpass Nunes. However we don’t exactly know where Maresca sees Nunes as I do think there’s a world he could again become a midfield same goes for O’Reilly and then someone like Khusanov takes RB minutes. I do see Ake going but again like Kovacic he offers valuable experience should he stay another year. I’d integrate Reis which might actually be of benefit to let Ake go for his development and then keep the rest. Obviously if Gvardiol goes then we do probably have to dip in for another left-footed centre back but I’d make it by absolute priority to keep Gvardiol same goes for Rodri in midfield as I do think he starts in our best team.

Moving forward now, I know it wasn’t the greatest campaign for Phil Foden but he’s still a must keep for me. The same goes for Doku, Semenyo, Cherki and Haaland. Outside of that I think there are strong chances both Savinho and Marmoush leave. I think a Haaland back-up shouldn’t really need addressed now we have Semenyo. But we do really need another top winger, it’s probably better squad wise to have a right-winger as both Semenyo and Doku arguably better off the left. However that being said the best options actively available on the market: Diomande and Barcola are both also probably better off the left more so Barcola. And with Diomande I’m not fully convinced we commit that much money on him. I also wonder if getting rid of Savinho as much as I don’t rate him particular highly for a winger that’s probably a similar project-style signing is viable or not. In terms of the sort of players that perhaps City could go for of a 1v1 touchline style-winger, perhaps Yankuba Minteh of Brighton could be a shout but again it seems very sideways. I wouldn’t be totally surprised if Maresca looked at Neto again not a player I hugely rate but he was very good at Wolves, City were tracking him as far as I remember and he was a favourite under Maresca.

We shall see, either ways it seems very much like the starting 11 should be relatively stable but everything outside of that is set for an overhaul.

According to twitter, Madrid wants to sign Ruben Dias & Rodri

Barcelona are going after Gvardiol

Maybe we need to bring back Bah

Wouldn’t trust anything coming out of Spanish media personally.

As for Gvardiol, I wouldve rubbished those links too but the amount of traction going about does suggest that perhaps his agent is trying to generate interest. However, Barcelona surely cannot financially pull off signing Gordon, Alvarez and Gvardiol.

I do think it’s most likely Gvardiol stays. As for Rodri, I doubt Madrid will actually pay for him if he wants to go he’ll go for free next summer.

Yea I meant anyone else besides him but good shout.

If Gvardiol has asked to leave, it does make me wonder why.

He’s a guaranteed starter when he’s fit and only been out of the side because of injury. Since coming back he’s had minutes and then a rest to avoid aggravating it before the World Cup.

He didn’t strike me as a journeyman player, personally, yet his agent has supposedly been offering him around in the last few months hence the Barcelona and Bayern links in the past week.

Unless he’s scared of a bit of a bit of competition (in his view) after the rise of Khusanov and the signing of Guehi and hasn’t had assurances of playing centre half.

I hope it’s to get a better rate on his new deal during contract negotiations but it doesn’t come across that way. Hope I’m wrong.

Gvardiol agent either doing his job and trying to get the best contract possible or Gvardiol wants to leave and his agent is saying that to Barca and Bayern.

i think exactly the same, they are leveraging Pep leaving and Media narrative that everyone will dip once Pep leaves
