Ake might be easier to move. On reasonable 160k/wk wages but has a troubling injury history. However just like Stones, it's tricky to replace them because neither takes up a foreign spot on the team.

Akanji is also on a lucrative 180k/wk wages per reports. He's the most durable of the 3 CBs but again he might not have a reason to leave a sporting project such as City's in his prime. 2 years left after this year.

Fair comments, we’d have to pay a portion of their wages to “help” them leave you’d suspect at best… I don't think all 3 will leave, my gut is they’ll all probably stay (due to wages).
 
Kovacic has to go.. maybe Stones too if it's possible, so that's 2 midfielders that need replacing with newer reliable ones.

I suspect Bernie/ Gundo/ KDB will be kept another season. And we might look hard at their replacements.

No, I don’t think we will, although Peps comments surprised me, but he wasn’t going to actually say they are all going mid season. It was just a genuine question.
 
I was saying to a mate - I’d take Wharton and Baleba over Wirtz. That would be my dream
 
The amount of average players in the squad is too high, that's as important to deal with as incomings. The general level of player needs to improve, in the midfield areas in particular. Got to get 2 or 3 of these midfielders out I think, they are clogging up the works.

Nunes and Kovacic need to go as much as KDB and Gundo.
 
We need FOUR midfielders.

Need to replace the ghost army of Kovacic/ KDB/ Gundo/ Bernardo/ Stones/ Akanji/ Foden in the middle!

(CM/CDM) - Wharton/Zubimendi
(RB) - Vanderson/Singo/Aina
(GK) - I don't know enough here

I honestly think just 5 is enough. If Cherki can't be done, then just those 4, as the CAM has to be a special player to be worth going for.

I think Cambiaso is virtually nailed on but I do think we need 3 more midfielders as you said here
