I agree with most of your analysis, but you kind of miss my point. Pep always has an excuse to keep young players out of midfield. I'm not saying I don't like O'Reilly (though I think way less of him than Foden), but I don't see the tactical/pausa brilliance Pep requires. Take the best parts of Lewis and O'Reilly together and maybe that player would get into midfield.

Also, I don't really care what Pep says in press conferences. His story on why Foden isn't in midfield changes every season. But in his defense, what value is there in speaking truth in press conferences?

If we can actually humble Garnacho he would be the better signing than el rat if we did decide to raid them. This isn't a wind up or trolling.

With all that happened and the s*** he has done, I would rather sign Mason, yes Mason Greenwood who is far the better player and has a superior work rate than Garnacho and we all know that CITY would never touch Greenwood with a 100meter pole, so forget Garnacho!

The 25 i counted wasn't for CL or PL but to satisfy PEp's "i don't want a huge squad" claims.

True. Nobody ever knows what’s going on in that head of his. That’s why nobody is fully trusting his small squad threats and comments. But I agree O Riley isn’t THAT special or gifted. Only physically.

I expect to be disappointed - not enough in, not enough out.
I want Pep out. I HATE saying that. If he said, I'm ready to do 3-4 more years, I'd grab that. But I don't like the idea of, rebuild the squad around Pep's tactics when he's commiting to 1-2 years and the next manager may have different ideas.
I'm unapologetically ride or die Foden. Question number one to every potential manager would be, how do you plan to maximize haaland and Foden. And that answer should be, Foden at 8/10, and the ball is going to move fast. I would be excited again to watch City with a front 3 of savio/Marmoush/Bobb/haaland, Foden at 10, and Rodri and reijnders behind. It kills me I couldn't put Kvara in the list instead of Marmoush. Doku can come in to change the pace, but he sits on the ball too long imo. On another team he could be great- he's got talent. Just not how I want to see them play.
And give me some actual fullbacks for a change. Livramento and ait nouri - I guess. They sound great, can't say I've seen them much.

also will they sell two of Akanji, Ake, Stones to include two January CBs and one or two arriving fullbacks.

its almost certain one of Akanji, Ake, Stones will need to leave, Stones makes sense due to his piss poor availability.

but I just cannot see Akanji, Ake, Gundo, Kova, Bernardo all staying and Pep benching the hell out of them. otherwise they start most weeks.

Bro imma be so real with you

I agree with literally everything you said.

I love the guy. Given me the best moments of my life. I still want him to be here because I want just a few more trophies. Cuz I know we won’t be guaranteed anything after he leaves. Also so many players literally come here JUST for him. He’s driven me insane. Idk how many times I’ve texted my best mate how I’m sick of his lineup changes and the football we play is DEAD. Idc what anyone says. S’Hampton and Palace this season done. Argument over. I could go on and on.

I’m so happy some finally speaks about Foden. People forget that this rebuild needs it get the best out of him too not just Haaland. We can win the league with peoples favourite signings but Foden has to reach his peak powers. Same goes for Rodri.

I honestly can’t imagine going into the season with the same boring old players playing the same boring old football. But I will expect it too. That’s why I’m dying for Cherki to bring vibes back. Someone that actually gets you off your feet. We’ve suffered so much this season (sounds spoiled) but it’s true I wanna go back to winning. I pray the club is ruthless but i won’t hold my breath. Maybe 3 players in, 3 out. I still expect to see the same passages of play. Side ways and him expecting someone to save him like Rodri or Foden.

If Doku doesn’t cook next season then yes it’s time to say we’re not the best fit. And I can deffo see him play at a faster paced side with more space to run in like in Brentford or Forrest. I like the guy but every game I’m just waiting and begging for his play to be refined. Gain some chemistry with someone ANYONE. He’s the best at one of the hardest thing to do itw. He’s so close. Savio has regressed and it’s sad but he’s really young. Wouldn’t mind winger that acc knows what to do when they’re in the box. Since we can’t depend on these 2 rn. Maybe in 2 seasons. But we’ve got trophies to win.

The rebuild hinges on outgoings more than anything imo. You simply need minimum 5 players to hit the road. But yea I love Nouri. Not so much on the hype train with Livra. The underlying numbers don’t wow me. I’m a big fan of Vanderson at Monaco. Should watch analysis videos of him. Even Munoz at Palace has the qualities we need even tho he’s 28. I’m dying for actual fullbacks, literally having players that play the position they’re in. No more square pegs into round holes I want to be freed from “he can play there, he can do a job” NO just sign a LB, RB, Box to Box, GK, Playmaker. End of.

This is really freaking good. I’d love it ngl. It’s literally 90% of what I’ve been thinking for a while now. Couldn’t decide what to do with Nunes, Akanji and Rico …
Don’t hate Akanji but he’s not good enough to start games should only play backup RB but Nunes is so much better. Plus 4 centre backs doesn’t sound enough when Ake is always injured so we only have 3 and Dias has injury issues too. Thats why I want JSP who was the first defender to get player of the season in PL2. But if you keep Akanji Pep will deffo keep playing him. Rico has no role imo. We get a proper RB, and Nunes is still better. He’s not playing ahead of any of the midfielders, esp if you add MGW. So he literally won’t play. Sounds harsh but you’d have to entertain selling him. Nunes has earned his spot yes he can be a Delph like player but he’s still not great. But I’ll be happy with this.

I don't think we can risk having Phil as a pencilled in first choice anymore.
Just too risky if he doesn't get it back and we're left trying someone else as a fill in.
Good luck to him but will need to fight his way back past a good first chouce player imo.
