The Squad planning thread

PSG are going to be the superpower over the next few years unfortunately, they have invested so smart it’s unreal
Goalscorers Doue and mayulu both very young.
Not sure what other young players are coming through but it augurs well for them.
Great to see a manager taking a chance with youth.
The ability to run at speed is essential

They got mora and mastanuoto or however he is spelled they are stacked. They are stacked everywhere when you look at it. Maybe some RB backup that’s it.

As Barca and PSG have shown giving youth a chance can be breathtaking.

With that in mind
Costa
Khusanov Dias Gvardiol O'Reilly
Rodri Reinjders
Foden. Cherki Marmoush
Haaland

Reis
Bah
Savinho
Doku
Lewis
González

Edited as I forgot

City treble team beats this PSG team and that had no fullbacks and bernardo and grealish on the wing. More than one way to play football- its great to watch, no doubt tho
Don’t know how you can come to that conclusion tbh .

City’s best team ever was the proper treble team with the highest elo rating in our history. 4th highest of any team ever. The peak rating, although at the start of the following season, is 95% the treble season.

No doubt the Centurions was our most entertaining.

This PSG team is the best they have ever had but comes in at number 19. Our treble team would wipe the floor with them….so let’s not get carried away just because they won the final by the largest margin. Let’s see if they can build on it.

Agree. PSG have been brilliant to watch this season. But the idea that this is now the only way to play is a bit weird.
Im surprised how there's all this chat about the style with no mentioning they play a total false 9, who also never occupies the furthest forward position. Wingers and fullbacks are one thing, but it hinges on Dembele's (and to an extent Hakimi's) incredibly intelligent appreciation of space.

With Haaland on a 10 year contract we're literally never going to play like the PSG team of 2025. The seasons of Foden false 9 or Gundo false 9 is probably closer to it than we'll come again.

Haalands contract whilst raising an eyebrow is nothing more than a guarantee we’ll get a fee for him when he leaves.

Three out of the top four best teams in history coached by Pep. Insanely good CV, we'll never see anything like it ever again. Lucky to have him.

OUT: KDB, Kovacic, Grealish, Walker, Akanji, McAtee, Ederson

IN: Diogo Costa, Reindeers, Cherki, right wing-back
