I concede to your point, but then a good number of players need to show improvement on last year. On top of the general malaise, a contributing factor might have been their general lack of competition. We went into the season with Grealish, Doku, Savinho, and Bobb, yet the workload weighed heavy on the shoulders of Doku and Savinho. Ideally, we should have a fourth winger this season, preferably from within, snapping at their heels.I would place Savinho and Doku in Green. They both need to show significant signs of improvement this year otherwise I would be looking at alternatives.
Can't see the Donnarumma signing at all. Would be very strange departure from Pep's philosophy

Wouldn’t mind that but Peps not tried a back 3 since his second season so doubt itFor me should be Gvardiol Khus Stones as back 3 with ati nouri and nunes playing wing backs, khus can cover the counters then when needed but would like to think the 3 shouldn't be as strecthed as we seem to be with the 2. More than enough quality in stones and gvardiol to pass/carry the ball out and leave khus where he needs to be

Chelsea still sniffing around Fermín from Barcelona, who appears to be available. The articles I read say Barcelona want €70m for him but Chelsea only willing to pay €50m.

I do like this player but surely they will never sell him. For me better than Wirtz but not a position we will look at I guess. So we’re pretty much in the endgame of the transfer window.
What we have to do is move 2 foreign players. Looks like Akanji (with Milan and Spurs in for him) and Ortega (Mönchengladbach linked today). Kabore isn’t really part of the squad but is likely off as well. Other that Phillips is still here as is Wilson Ebrand.
Gundogan doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, neither do Kovacic or Nunes.
As for incomings we’re only really linked with moving Ederson out and Donnarumma in.
No other strong links at the moment.

As it stands, another average to poor transfer window.
A competent left back but hardly world class. Still no established right back of any acceptable standard.
If Cherki fulfills his potential then we have the next David Silva.
Nico so far has been a terrible purchase.
Akanji isn't good enough, but has been great value and we could even make money if we sell him.
Ake is not a left back and is not fit.
Kova is injured again.
I feel we need a quality right back and another left back.
We need another central midfielder who is really quick.
Most of all Pep needs to stop tinkering with the team selection.

This!!there is no new grealish only now hes being allowed freedom and told to attack and run at players
The idea that we could have bought Hudson-Odoi this season, when we already had Grealish is just ridiculous!
Grealish is showing already that he is a top top player, a different class to most others of that ilk.
It’s the system that ruins them (but gets them a few trophies along the way).
