Just gutted we missed out on 100m plus on Savinho and Lewis. We won't see that money again!
 
Like a few have said, the club on the playing side has fallen off a cliff and it seems highly unlikely that we can close to it again. Erling is not going to keep playing with this level after who he was playing with when he joined?! Absolutely horrendous from Txiki towards the end and Viana needs 3-4 world class players in there.
 
Our squad is caught between a halfway house of not being good enough technically and not being good physically.

Have Haaland as your physicality and put at least 7 or 8 technically excellent players around him, sack off this attempt to match teams physically.

Match them by being technically superior and have them do doggies for 90mins.

When you look at the signings we used to make like Yaya, David Silva etc and now we buying Sav Phillips etc it says it all. You need a world class spine plus a few more. We just dont have that anymore
 
Been done to death but our recruitment post-treble has been dreadful. In years past, there would have been 2 or 3 players of lesser quality mixed in among the rest. Now it‘s 7 or 8, maybe even more, like that.
And it‘s not just quality but also the profile of the squad. We‘re nowhere near as good technically as we used to be - we can‘t dominate games in that way. Yet we‘re also fairly shit physically - far too many slow and/or weak players to be a physically dominant team.
And all compounded by a lack of any real robust set-up and system. Just a constant churn of different midfield shapes, fullbacks playing up-and-down or coming infield, wingers playing wide or inside etc.
The first 6-7 years with Pep were marked by a razor sharp clarity of vision of who we were and how we play. Past couple of years have been marked by a lot of muddled thinking.

Get a grip, people.
We lost and we were poor, all over the pitch. It happens, every now and then.
Two weeks ago, we were title favourites again. Now, we are shite.

We are in transition. Many of us called it and we are not going to be winning every game while it happens. We are at least a season away from competing at the very highest levels with consistency. We are capable of beating anyone, but we will lose a few too. Enjoy the journey, the pleasure and the pain.

Rayan Cherki Vs John Guidetti

This idea that we only bought genius and now plough the bottom of the furrow follows every lost point and it is ridiculous.
 
we need depth, core of the team is very solid

we need a winger who can score and is not a project player - Semenyo, Rodrygo
while i get - Rodrygo = scoring is not what you imagine when thinking of him, but i think he has flourish under Pep

Olise is a pipe dream - while he keeps the form on, it Bayern will not sell him or will ask a very high price


we also need a midfielder, i think a box2box/destroyer player who has can run for days could help immensely and would help unlock Cherki/Haaland more - Ederson, Varela, Anderson
 
Got to put aside the signings that have been made, woeful or not, they are here and until we get rid there is fuck all we can do, a mass clear out is needed, and whether that starts with a couple in January we will have to wait and see, but when I say mass clear out, I mean a lot have to be gone, and the scary thing is, most of us know who they should be
