Everton won’t be able to pay a big fee. So it’s going to save 15% of his wage and likely crystallise a LOSS. So won’t be a material improvement. I’m sure we have some leeway, just won’t be able to do £100m plus without a clear plan as to who goes.

Thought I read it was a £50mil option? When you say they won’t be able to pay a big fee, assume you mean due to whatever squad cost rules are now in place rather than whether they can afford to pay?

Suppose there’s always the chance of Trafford going, but best way I assume would be for us to sell an academy graduate like Rico?

Or Savio for a HUGE fee…..

No chance Everton pay £50m regardless of the option.

Trafford would also probably be a loss rn. So wouldn’t materially help.

Savinho, Bobb and/or Lewis would.

We have a few options.
Between Jack and Akanji we should get at least £50m.
Ake will probably be sold.
Kabore £1Om
Mubama possibly.
On the negative side, we probably won't get a whole lot between Simpson Pusey, Ortega and Philipps. Free up some wages though
 
Can’t see anything in the Vitnha rumour, other than the fact that it’s concocted by a Real Madrid source, whom coincidentally we are playing this evening.

The lad only recently extended his contract in Paris to 2029, doubled his wages, and his wife gave birth again in April. They’re happy there and he’s the cornerstone of their midfield.

Won’t stop the fantasists, of course.
 
We need to get a midfielder in January. Who knows how much Rodri can give this season and can't rely on Kova being fit for 2nd half of the season.

If it's Anderson or whoever we want then if they aren't available in January and they most likely aren't ,then we wait.
Only the club know Rodri's recovery timetable anyway.
