Pep needs to find a way to get Marmoush more game time when he gets back, he has a predatory instinct that we lack at times? Would be loath to lose him as we would than have to go and sign someone else anyway?

How does he do that other than resting Haaland, which he does need to do a bit of, but not enough to keep Marmoush happy.

That would be a great move. Anderson is a must regardless and someone like Tonali/Guimares as well would be perfect. If we end up needing English/homegrown instead, then we should pay the money for Wharton if we can guarantee him the minutes.

I think it’s more complicated than just giving Marmoush minutes. Haaland has to play as much as he does because he is surprisingly one of our best defensive contributors late in games when we’re holding on to a lead and our midfield is ragged. Marmoush becomes a viable option after we either strengthen our midfield for the final 20-30 minutes of games, the player himself proves he can do more than just be an offensive threat or a combination of both.

He’s just wasted here currently which is a shame?

It is but I don’t think that’s down entirely to him or Pep. Clearly there’s a good player there and Pep would play him more often if he could, but I think it’s a consequence of our midfield and the team struggling to score outside of Haaland. Pep can work it out, but is Marmoush patient enough to wait for that to happen?

Not sure he will be by the summer mate to be honest
 
Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol, Alleyne is a good start for next season, but obviously one more high class CB is needed. I don’t believe Bah is good enough and I think Vitor Reis is not properly built for the Premier League, even if he is highly regarded. I don’t think there’s a single centreback in the league with that boy-isch frame Reis has. He will be bullied by both big forwards and defenders, easily pushed around. I don’t think we can have that, we would concede a lot.
