Plus fringe players/youth players.
Make a decision on players like Reis, Nypann and Echerverri very quickly
We cant afford to buy middle of the road prem players from average teams as we have been doing...one or two to bolster the squad are fine but start filling it with this level of players we will find us dropping of the pace very quickly
We have to go back to buying proven quality if we are to make up the gap - we have enough projects and squad level players....we need some real quality with winners mentality
We need at least one left back (maybe two), one or two right backs, midfield driving force and wide players who actually create....
Kayode could be ideal as another Italian with Gigi.

Some people just have really unrealistic squad plans. Nunes is perfectly good enough to be in our squad, starter or otherwise.We ain't going to go out and sign two RBs that's for sure.

So substandard that only one team has conceded fewer goals than us in the PL and we're just off the top 5 in goals conceded in the CL. There is more to defending than just defenders. Our midfield being all over the place half the time and the whole team being careless with the ball is why we concede the goals we do.thats fine ...we will continue to have substandard defenders
A right back is only necessary as a rotation option with Nunes since no one else in the squad can confidently play it as a secondary position. We're fine at left back unless the plan from next season onward is to have Gvardiol and O'Reilly focus on their primary positions.

I think we will actually plump for Read. Anderson it would seem is most possible than not and I just can’t believe we won’t have a go at Smit! Nypan or Echeverri to AZ on loan? Nypan probably to keep them sweet.

Not as good as Nunes, neither are most fullbacks in the league. Some really don’t understand that and think he’s the same player he was last season.Kayode could be ideal as another Italian with Gigi.

Been one of the best RBs in the league this season. Missed massively when he got the flu but u keep spouting bollocks if it makes u feel good.thats fine ...we will continue to have substandard defenders

Left back options are not good....for me the jury is out big time on Alt nouri - very good going forward - there is no argument there....but defensively he is weak - pulling out of that challenge vs newcastle is just as bad as it gets....defensively he aint had a good game for us yet...he doesnt look interested in defending......he also looks like he has a weak mindset or that he doesnt really care...there is no fight in him that ive seen yet.....he aint exactly going hard into challenges is he like most players do to try and impress fans when they start playing for a new club...anything but infact ..yes he has time but the signs are not good at all

but the negatives far outweigh the postives....there is a clear argument that without walker we would have found it very difficult to play the way pep wanted to

It’s a squad game Kayode is only 21. When we were dominant side in the league we had two players in every position who were either good or world class.
Nunes is 27 so Kayode coming in is perfect competition. And if we are lucky Kayode would be a right back we’d have for years due to his age.

Walker was exceptional for us and there are very few out there like him.

Think you very undervalue what Nunes has brought to our right side. He's been a solid enough defender, helps build up down our right side plenty and is one of the few who can put good crosses into the box for Haaland and Marmoush.only just

World class teams don't need world class players in every position. We have a very good spine already and our wide players who have plenty of potential. There are other places in the squad that require more attention and getting two or three fullbacks will only make that more difficult to balance out.
