The Squad planning thread

Szbos would be so sick to have as a Bernardo replacement. He just scored another free kick against a Big 6 side

Heard Porro mentioned again
Football insider 'reported' it

tbh i dont see it, Nunes is better crosser and ball distributor

Porro is only faster, maybe

i don't see that we will go after him tbh

if we raid Spurs then i'd raid Bergvall, Gray, maybe, just maybe Kudus

Micky Cant De Fend is fast and that's only that

Cherki is better than Simmons

I'd agree with most, if not all of this except I'd be selling Doku.

Do not understand the fascination with him, it's his third season and he has 7 total league goals. Folk laugh at Saka but wank Doku off
Who's volunteering to wank Doku off then?

The midfield needs a revamp, we are going to have stop trying to be smart arses and pay the price to buy quality players it may mean only two players, but if those two are Nuno Mendes and Musala then we will be heading in the right direction.

It's just really sad to see such a decline in quality in the squad considering the money spent.

We've dropped over £400m in the last two years and yet we've not signed a single world class player. We've still not got a right back, the midfield has no legs and little technical quality and our wingers are better in transition rather than beating their men.

The likes of Khusanov and Reis look really good, but then for them there's a Marmoush who cost £60m and Reijnders who cost £45m.

I know that football has become more dynamic, but we're signing players who are just not at the level to take us back to the top.

People are entitled to their opinion, but if their opinion is that our purchases for the last few years have been good, they're in the wrong. Instead of buying world class talent or world class players, we've settled for average players who has shown some promise, but that's it. I long for the days when we bought actual world class players - and not players who has had a good season for a mid-table club in the PL before signing for us. Just have a look at the net spend table. Instead of buying players who are ready to improve the first team, we've been spending our budget on shit players who doesn't improve the squad. The squad management for the last few seasons has been abysmal.

he is another low quality weak minded player.....we dont want anything to do with him....

Getting players from relegation fodder clubs only leads to one thing...

He is poor and definitely not the right type of character you want

yes raiding one of the worst teams in the premierleague this season for some of their players is a great idea....if we want to drop further down the league....

This thread needs to remember very quicky the standards we are trying to return to .......

How many "world class" players have moved in world football in that time though?

For the last 2 years how many would you actually want - for me definitely Kvara maybe Wirtz, Osimhen. (Knowing Mbappe wasn't a normal signing)
