The Squad planning thread

Feels like a really hard summer to predict, could see plenty of players wanting to leave.

I always feel that when people say we don’t have much to do in the summer, we always end up having a manic one. Not particularly ideal in a World Cup year but still

Ideally get the back up RB like Read along with Anderson done early.

Then see who wants out and remain flexible

One midfielder one full back, then replace any of Trafford ,Savinho, Marmoush that may leave.Hardly any rebuilding left.

This might be sacrilege but imo it's more important to hold onto Trafford than Foden going by this season and I like them both and want to keep both of em.

I have read it and understand what you’re saying.Uncertain suggests there is a chance he could leave. I reckon zero chance
When is Foden signing his new contract Agent Tony?

Do you think he should play instead of Cherki; as Pep seems to pick one or the other but not both at the same time?

What if Cherki has a loss of form? Gets injured? suspended? Fatigued? Do you honestly think we’d let the most talented English player of his generation leave at the age of 26 (at the season’s end) because he has had an average season? Straight yes or no. Do you think Foden will leave? Would you sell him? Will Foden sign a new contract? I know my answers and I reckon I’d be correct.

I think the club will offer him a contract.

The bigger question is does he sign it and want to stay or leave for a different league where he not only gets time but room to express himself since the EPL just strangles his creativity.

It isn't his fault that the EPL is just a MMA league and when someone does leave from the EPL to a different league.. they become stars like McTominay.

Heck even Kane is not Mr. Glass Ankles anymore.

Yeah I know I probably sound like a broken drum at times since I wanted Palmer, McAtee, Perrone to stay.

I still want the same for Foden and Trafford but it's not upto me. :(
According to many posts on bluemoon we’re losing or posters want rid of Pep, Trafford, Lewis, Stones, Ake, Reijnders, Foden, Savinho, Marmoush, Bernardo, Nunes and Nico G. Have I missed anyone? How many players will we have left?

I think you are confusing posters wanting rid with them speculating what if they go and if they do who might come in.

It sickens me to see the abuse from so called supporters that they dish out to some of our players. Savinho, Lewis and Reijnders for example. Foden is the latest target. Luckily they have no say and we have people who know what they’re doing in charge.

Foden will have good performances and also dips in form, he started his career here and he will retire here, he is one of the family jewels, he is the Francesco Totti of Manchester City Football Club, he will go nowhere, Period.
