The Squad planning thread

Great Picture, those two for Reindeers, NicoG, Lewis, Kova, Grealish add Bernie and Philips off the books out of midfield we would be better off financially, With Rodri signing a new contract, maybe one other
It’s unbelievable how much we’ve bogged ourselves down with the transfers of Reijnders and Phillips. Getting them out of the club doesn't look like it's going to be an easy task.

Looking at it now, a year down the line, I really regret that MGW didn't come instead of Reijnders.

Your point is spot on; by freeing up the listed players and their wages from the payroll, we could easily have both Anderson and Wharton.

Bernardo alone currently earns more per week than both of those players combined.

I heard it could be in Liverpool or Rome.
Presumably you mean Liverpool and not Everton. I think any such suggestion would be based more on Slot being the manager. Frimpong is similarly slight and missed a host of matches with hamstring injuries, so adding Read, with his own problems in that department, would make little sense. Rome would be more likely.

When you look at the physiques and skills of most of our players (Nunes, Guehi, Khusanov, O’Reilly, Gvardiol, Dias, Semenyo, Doku, Rodri, Haaland- expect Reijnders and Gonzalez next season), you start to appreciate that it is not accidental and that if you don’t have the physique (Silva, Foden, Cherki, Kovacic, Savinho, Ait-Nouri), you’d better be exceptional on the ball. Read just doesn’t cut it either way, for me.

We still need a rodri replacement. I don't think rodri is able to stay fit for a full season and nico g is leaving.

Regarding Pep, I think one of his greatest strengths was attracting players who specifically wanted to play under him. Players wanted to come and play for the best manager in the world.

Maresca doesn’t have that same aura yet, and the whole issue with the 115 charges and the expected punishment coming soon doesn’t exactly add much stability for the future either. I can definitely see us facing more difficulty competing with other top clubs for the players we want this summer.

I also think that on the outgoing side, we might hear news we won’t like. Rodri is one of the names being mentioned, but who knows who else? It’s going to be a very complicated summer and a season that could shape the direction our club takes for years to come.

What on earth are you on about regarding 115 ? It seems increasingly likely 115 will be over with in our favor in the summer in time to go big in the summer transfer market vs having to hang over us in other windows yet still managing to buy who we want.

You don’t come across asa true blue with comments like that

If you can predict the future and already know exactly what punishment we’re going to get, then go ahead and publish it, save all of us the waiting and uncertainty.

I was talking about two issues that I think could be problematic for us when it comes to signing players. First, the fact that Maresca isn’t Pep, which is undeniable, and second, the whole situation surrounding the charges and the possible punishment.

If I’m a player, or an agent representing a player that every top club wants, I’m looking for stability. In the past, the balance often tilted in our favor because of Pep. Now that advantage isn’t there, and there’s also uncertainty surrounding the punishment we could receive.

And maybe I’m wrong, you’re welcome to explain why. But what does any of this have to do with whether I’m a true Blue or not?

Yaya, Merlin, KDB, Kun and Vinny were all decent, the King is dead, long live the King, Till I Die, having said that you can fuck off with Mbappe and Vini Jnr

What did I say that justifies you talking to me like that? And what do Mbappé and Vini have to do with anything? How does this relate to what I wrote?

Everything was negative, inferring we wont be able to attract good quality players now Pep has gone and 115, I think the last thing we need at this point are negative comments and Mbappe and and Vini has fuckall to do with what you said.

Wonder how this sits with Rodri now?
i think good

he worked with Enzo in treble winning year. so i think there is no bad feelings about that

also those pesky Gvardiol rumours, i truly believe that is a play be the agent to get him a better deal at City

Enzo might even rejuvenate Foden

Doku might thrive move. when Enzo tries to expand the width with wingers

tho, i don't know how this impacts Cherki, he might thrive like Cole Palmer did at Chelsea first season

Really dont want Enzo Fernades here to be honest, we could get Tonali with what it would cost.

i don't think that Fernandes will happen, Anderson will take he's place
