Rodri if he is mikes away with wages etc then sell imo while it’s a fresh start and after him playing all summer may pick up more nighling injuries early doors and throughout the season and it’s just terrible business sense to lose him on a free!

I know Nunes is going to cause some comments but I personally think that only that mad crazy bastard Pep could manage to work so hard on one player that Maresca would just want a natural RB and if Palestra needed a rest or was injured then Khusanov could go to RB as we are so strong in defence now with the Guehi signing and Gvardiol back? I also think Trafford will chance one season as Maresca REALLY rates him so who knows, he may get the nod in the end?

A fresh start is a fresh start so let’s back Maresca properly from the off imo and see how he goes!

Cheeky bid for Kenan Yildiz after Juve fails to qualify for CL. Two footed, young, athletic and very talented. I’d also get either Fernandes out of West Ham Bergvall out of Tottenham to replace Bernie, Gonzales and Kova if either get relegated. Kroupi to replace Marmoush, Read to be understudy for Nunes. Cant decide if we need another CB other than Reis back since all of Akanji, Stones and Ake are most likely leaving. Maybe Alleyne can get a proper chance at sharing some minutes

Still a valuable player to have around (hence why Real Madrid are sniffing around). We had managed to keep Bernie despite Barcelona's lever pulling exercising and him seriously thinking about leaving when still in his prime.

  1. Because we dont need the money, we can buy a replacement now if we wanted and give a year grace (like Dinho/Rodri had).
  2. He hasn't said hes unhappy, Bernardo was interested in Barcelona/Portugal yet he never threw the towel in, don't expect Rodri to either
  3. Because even if hes not pre-injury Rodri he's class.
  4. Losing 2 big characters in Bernardo and Stones is a lot already, Rodri becomes the new longest serving player
  5. Nico G might be off (or kovacic) which means we need to replace 3 CM's
  6. Because we've shown we're happy for players to leave on free transfers. Free transfers give him more options,better wages and a signing on fee

Losing both Rodri and Bernardo would be a mistake, yes we can make it work but its a risk especially as we'll be left with quite a young team with only Kovacic as the older head and hes not the most vocal player
