Ait-Nouri has similar attributes so would not make any sense. He can play in the system that Maresca envisions. Nico would excel in that system. So I dont really see the need

There is no direct replacement so id take the PSG approach and move away from a traditional number 6 and replace with two nimble excellent 8s who double pivot and can act as 6s, similar to vitinha and neves at PSG. Two players who can run all day, take the ball under pressure from the defence and play out, who are press resilient and can get up and down the pitch while been able to play on the front foot quickly when we are attacking. Anderson could be one of them, pair him with fernandes from west ham and wed have like a shitter version of what PSG have but it might grow to be amazing.

Something like that anyway….

People seem shocked with this.

Literally the same reason we haven’t seen Anderson sign yet. Yes we still might have to agree a fee but the World Cup delays everything.
 
Still rather he go for free

We get a year of him whike Maresca gets his feet under him and then Rdori gets a huge payday from Real due to the freebie

We dont need the money we make from his sale

I really hope the club puts all their attention on securing Anderson and keeping Rodri we can’t lose Pep Bernardo and Rodri in one season

I do. He won’t get that long of a deal. He’s integral to everything here. We gave Bernie a huge wage boost based of the fact he had great success and Rodri’s is even higher.

Finding his replacement whilst he’s still at the club will benefit us long term. He played with Ferna, imagine if the next Rodri played with him.

We are also reducing the wage bill massively. He’s the only player (apart from KDB) that could demand that type of money.

Crazy that you predicted this. Is it a wild demand ? Yes. For someone that hasn’t proved his fitness. But it’s not my money. We already struggle to play out from the back, defend transitions, create lots of chances I don’t want to live a world where we have no Rodri on top of that. To see him go and smash it for the next 4 years would be insane. I don’t understand it. Stop giving fringe that don’t suit us like Marmoush 300k a week and give wages to players we acc need.

Yes we do we still haven’t replaced Gundo after two years and Bernardo needs to be replaced (Anderson) and another great midfielder if we lose two or more players like Reinjders Nico G Kova
