The gimp opposing Perez for Madrid elections has said that he’ll sign Haaland and Rodri if he gets in and that Haaland has a release clause.

Supposedly showed signed documents that it’ll happen if he gets elected.

Painfully transparent. However, I wouldn’t mind his agent shooting it down considering just how much he’s doubling down.

Same. We can't justify paying Rodri 300-500k a week when he's hardly playing these days. He's amazing when he does play, but he's in 1 game then out the next 5-10. The injury has done some serious damage and I feel we've seen Rodri's best days now. If we got big money from Madrid, I'd take the money and invest it wisely. Wharton and Anderson in the middle would be nice.

I find it so strange how much can change in a season, semenyo, MGW, anthony Gordon, mbeumo, ekitike, Diaz etc were all available and now they’re all gone. Also the names in the transfer market for the last few season have been nothing short of massive downfall in quality my goodness. Leao last year Rashford this year, so sad.

Rodrygo with a nasty ACL, nobody will touch him for a long time, he never wanted to leave Madrid imo. Might go down as a player who never reach their true potential like Joao Felix

And then we have like 3 options to rotate the middle 2 (Foden, Reijnders, Marmoush) which is overkill.

If we played 4222/4321 the squad is made for it, but we aren't built for 3241, and selling Savinho puts us even further behind having a squad for it.

Yep Nobbins explained it pretty well we have a good squad some players suited for his philosophy some not so much.

Our 424 is something he’d never play because he believes in an active press not a passive one like ours, he also like strikers to drop deep and link up play, he also believes in the box midfield which we stopped fielding because it got patched (stones injury and league evolved).


Chelsea fans say players like O Riley Doku Cherki will thrive because they do exactly what he expects from his wingers that a 1v1 monsters, fullbacks to invert but like you said ours hold with he wants his wingers to do that, and the midfields to be either he duel winners or pocket players.

This is the only issue with selling Savio but I’ll be so real with you idgaf I can’t be arsed with this kid anymore I don’t have the patience I see players out there and realise there are real ballers out there and I don’t think we have the luxury of waiting another 2-3 seasons and waste Haaland’s prime with mediocre players. Replace him and keep the machine running.

We’re a very narrow team without Savio but I believe Maresca will be able to come up with something.

Pretty sure that was signed to drive up his value lmao, contracts don’t mean much,primarily serves as a financial asset to secure transfer fees or protect a club's valuation, they don’t guarantee that a player will fulfill it. Lukaku left Chelsea shortly after his 100 m move, we signed Reinjders a couple months after he signed an extension, courtinho forced a move to Barca 6 months after singing a 5 year extension, Dembele had 4 years left Dortmund and still went to Barca, same with Griezmann crazy fees involved but there’s a price for everything. I honestly think you could get anyone unless they’re Yamal.

That 60m signing where we know a player is great and then gets to develop here has been our best type of buy in recent years. Walker, Dias, Stones, Rodri, Ederson, Cancelo, Sterling, Bernie, Kev. No one would have considered them world class when they came in but they turned into monsters here. PSG have done this well in recent years as well.

100% 60m back in those days is now 80m. For instance we would sign someone like Ndiaye at Everton he’s technically great but not yet a high volume creator but we would be able to pay that and see him develop now … it’s such a big fee that we expect them to be able to do way more, lately the bare minimum is be great defensively, not technical prowess.

PSG are in this alternate universe where they can just do anything they want.
