OK gents,..faie enough,..it may be a silly point I raise,....(im currently on my 6th tin of Stella)
You DO get awarded a star for a CL win. !
What then will happen to our badge ??
For those clown calling me a rag,.Id suggest ive been to more City games, both home and away, than most of you have had hot dinners .
No......they are mostly awarded for a team winning 10 league titles. Hence Glasgow Rangers had 5 stars on their shirts after winning the league a world record 50 times. I hate our stars and I hate constantly having the piss ripped out of me over the same :-(

Why?

Just accept the stars are part of our crest and have no significant meaning other than to enhance the beauty of such a wonderful design.

And as for having the piss taken out of you, just laugh it off.

Yeah, it gets on my tits when Trafford supporters take the piss too.
I think like most most blues I much prefer our traditional circular badge....However, my original question remains. Whats gonna happen WHEN we win the CL and are awarded a further star?

Chelsea haven't added one to the top of their badge. you do get different champions league badges for the sleeve though if you are the current holder of the cup

Where did you get this information? I've never heard it.

And if it is true, why doesn't Real Madrid have NINE stars on its badge.

And as for what's going to happen if and when we win the Champions' League, you'll have to ask the owner, chairman or CEO.

I thought our stars were one for each decade we avoid winning anything Well thats what I tell the rags, and that we dont get another for a least 10 more years which is one less than them at the moment

But seriously there is no official criteria for displaying a badge the closest to it though is for national teams World Cup wins

More recently, club teams have added stars either upon winning a landmark trophy, or in response to a rival team's having added stars. Manchester United wore two stars in their UEFA Champions League matches in 1999-2000, to celebrate their second victory in the competition the preceding season. Liverpool F.C. likewise wore four stars in 2001-02, their first campaign in the event since the Heysel Stadium disaster in 1985. They wore five stars in the competition in 2005-06 after their fifth victory. Instead of stars, UEFA introduced the UEFA badge of honour in 2003, currently worn by five teams who have won the Champions League either five times or more in total, or three times in a row.

its not a uefa mandate real madrid dont have 9 stars on their badge that would just make everyone else look small time
