How was Christmas day and The Harvester btw?

Was interesting. I was only expecting a few people to be in there, without sounding like a twat, people that were there for the company, no family around etc. but the place was full, people of all ages, families etc.

I embarrassed my uncle at pool a few times then went home.

It's a decent place. And plenty of blues go in there too.

Think I might get some wine in. Can't decide on red or white so I'll get 2 of each. Need some accompaniments, cheese, pickles, crackers and Gaviscon. I should be talking fluent bollocks by midnight.

If I eat any more cheese I'm gonna turn into a blue Stilton; bought loads of cheese cuts for last week - far too big and now faced by a mountain of the stuff every time I open the fridge door. Used to really like a nice slice of mature cheddar too...

I always stay in. Cant be arsed paying double fare for a cab and ripped off for a drink add to that someone who i would never speak to wishing me Happy New Year. A fine bottle of Red wine and decent Brandy for me with the wife on Champagne

This is why we always go away for NY. Me and Hubby will share a bottle of Fizz, sitting on a hotel balcony, watching some fireworks...

Travelling 20 miles to be alone at my Mums house in manchester whilst eldest son and heir to the Chabal dynasty is at 12 hour party in centre of Manchester.

I don' trust his ability to last the pace and make his way home in one piece so I am making sure I am only 10 mins drive away.

Same here! I'm sat reading BM eating Cheshire cheese and crackers to try and get rid of some of the chunks I bought before Christmas. Only Stilton, Red Leicester, Wensleydale with cranberry and orange, plus a smidgen of tangy Lancashire to go before me crackers go soft!
