Was originally the Red Lion, now Macdonalds.

You can see Norbury Church in the background to help get your bearings, picture taken from somewhere near Browns.

and no I didn't frequent it at the time the photo was taken, although I am old.

On occasion I work in Bar One, directly opposite McDonalds.

I don't even have vague memories of it being a pub, fuck you're old.

ha

I do remember the Red Lion, was knocked down when I was about 12 but remained wasteland until Mac D's pitched up a couple of years back.

Was interesting. I was only expecting a few people to be in there, without sounding like a twat, people that were there for the company, no family around etc. but the place was full, people of all ages, families etc.

I embarrassed my uncle at pool a few times then went home.

Ha ha, yeah, that's the one, although I'm not sure that crowd in the picture drunk as much snakebite in there as I did. Tbf, my grove era was late 80s/early 90s and I don't remember it being open for that many years.

Getting my bike out tonight to cycle to the ex's house (sod that double fare malarkey) and spend it with the kids. A few beers, nibbles and Jools thank you. Cycle back home in the morning and then it'll be an all day, man v. booze supping session at the match.

Think I might get some wine in. Can't decide on red or white so I'll get 2 of each. Need some accompaniments, cheese, pickles, crackers and Gaviscon. I should be talking fluent bollocks by midnight.
