Unless you've lived in London then you won't know what I'm referring to. Social housing is a completely different scenario to what it's like up here.

It was a disgraceful comment but not unexpected these days as the demonising of the poor continues. Hopefully in the future the people of notting hill won't have their prestige ruined by those less fortunate.

Why are you asking me loads of questions like i'm obliged to explain myself to you? If you had read all the comments in this thread you would know why i used the word pestige. I guarentee that anyone who thinks this is alright earms over the national average wage. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if in this case people did'nt mind moving( though that seems not the case) more will be moved because the land they live on is worth more than they can or have been paying for it whether they want to or not and those with money will think this is just fine.

I wish someone would subsidise my housing so I could live in a more affluent neighbourhood. Best would be those on a similar wage to me who live in cheaper areas. After all they don't need to pay as much rent as me so if we pop a bit more tax on them that will sort me out nicely. I don't mind paying a bit more too as it all goes to subsidising my lifestyle.
