The Stone Roses/Ian Brown

You might just want to locate where they are for future reference.

Reni told a few people(again apparently, pinch of salt...) he's ready for next year's reunion and that all the roses played on ripples, he wrote lots of songs when they did all for one and beautiful thing but ian didn't think they sounded like roses songs.
Somewhere there are demos of the songs on ripples by all the roses that mani has said are better than the album versions.
Add to the fact that brownie has gone underground since his album release and you can get carried away quite easily.
I'd say something is brewing.
Reni says nah.

anything to look out for in the interview? 38 mins long haha

Lots of talk about his early years

Used to rehearse in Guide Bridge in 1983 near where I grew up Also worked at the Opera House and Palace Theatre.
Nothing about if the band still exists or what's going on though.

thanks, i ended up listening to it. chuckled at them both talking about the rolling stones back stage

First album was brilliant but second coming was average by their standards. 2 albums in as many decades tells you all you need to know. Maybe their standards were too high. Reni was an amazing drummer and other 3 were very talented but as a whole unit they lacked something.

First album is more melodic and pop sounding. Second coming is more deep and moody. I prefer second coming.

Don't get me wrong mate. First album is excellent and I have 2 CDs of it. It's just that prefer 2nd album. Tears is my favourite Roses track
Bang on for me, I always preferred the 2nd album.

I bought first album straight away from Woolworths of all places. Took me few years to buy second coming so maybe my judgement is clouded by sentiment. Just finished reading book on them - war and peace by Simon Spence. Interesting read.
