mind you i'd like to know how these new 'victims' have suddenly remembered that they've been attacked by Mr Hall in the past , when last week / last month , it appeared to have conveniently slipped their memories !

Hopefully. He was an icon to so many Blues who'd love his work on the Radio and those memories are now tarnished forever.

Of all the people who could possibly have been involved in sex accusations such as these , Stuart Hall and William Roache would have been at the very bottom of my list ...... i'd never have guessed at either of them , even though both must have had countless opportunities to carry out such deeds if they'd so wished ...... but we must remember that William Roache remains innocent until proven guilty.

Mind you i'm none too certain that Stuart Hall hasn't admitted guilt purely on the advice of his legal team ...... he appeared to have a dramatic change of mind , and , at his ripe old age , that would surely have been their advice , so as he could return to his family at the earliest possible opportunity ....... even with a 15 month sentence there's no guarantee that he'd even survive that in prison , they know that , and so does he.

The only people who change their plea to guilty on legal advice, are those that are advised the evidence against them is that overwhelming, they're going to probably get found guilty anyway.

There doesn't tend to be overwhelming evidence against people who haven't done what they're charged with.

I'd estimate the number of people who plead guilty to sex crimes against children, who aren't actually guilty, probably number about zero.

I grew up with Jim'll Fix It and Top Of The Pops and just saw Savile has a harmless British eccentric. My Grandad knew him a little as he worked Doors years ago and never suspected anything. You really don't know a celebrity as well as you think you do.

There's been two child sex offenders known to me as such. One was a Boy Scout Leader who EVERYONE knew was a pervert and the other was a Mate known socially through music. Both got sent down with the latter getting 10 years. I'd never suspected anything at all with that one and I was so shocked when I found out. It seems others had some idea yet never said anything.

I was never raped when I was a kid so I wouldn't know exactly how to behave regards telling other people.
