I remember not so long ago when we had debts of £60 million or so when Kevin Keegan and Stuart Pearce was in charge and we had to rely on free transfers (Didi Hamann I think was one of them) to get by. I think we even sold Shaun Wright-Phillips to reduce the crippling debt.
In all honesty if Shinawatra didn't come in two seasons ago, I had a feeling City would go into administration and get relegated.
So I think everyone should be thankful that that didn't happen because my mate is a Southampton fan and he's been depressed for a majority of this summer.
