The Suprise

the owners have been intent on signing a world class world name from day one, dont know if their experiences with the wasters in this industry have put them off that route and maybe now they are buying into hughesys 'slowly slowly' plan.

Have I missed something? Slowly.......slowly?

I don't call £150m+ in 10 months slowly slowly.....its called fucking heaven.

As for a 'gift'? That is pure greed.

We have the best forward line in the PL imho is that not enough?

Some more super-stars who wouldn't join us: Sergio Aguero, Kaka (yes I know!), Casillas, Fabregas, Torres, Buffon, Pirlo, De Rossi, Toni, Ribery, Henry, Terry (again I know!)... Now I'm bored, but there are super-stars in the game still...

do you really class Pirlo, De Rossi, Toni, Henry and Terry as superstars?

Henry and Terry certainly are. Not so sure about the other three, they're just good, slightly better and over-rated respectively.

I think that our owners have had the final last minute signing done and dusted all summer and no I don't think that he has been mentioned on here or any other forum for that matter. I think they got a kock with the way the Robbie deal took everyone's breath away last year and I fee they will repeat that this year, and next
Who are you thinking, mate?

I'm fascinated too! Who on earth is a world superstar that hasn't been mentioned on here or any other forum? Surely that's impossible, if he's not been mentioned anywhere he can't be that big a name!

i really think the owners take the project seriously enough to not have a player already signed but then allow him to join up and start settling with the rest of the squad at the last possible moment in the transfer window. Barring injuries and Lescott/alternative, we could well be done, and Hughes can continue working on getting the crop of players we have to gel. As much as imagining fantasy football scenarios is fun, its not that realistic this year given the amazing signings we've already made this summer.
